Liquidex And Vit A For Acne?

okay, don't flame my ass for asking a dumbass question like this (because i haven't spent one minute looking into this hardcore) but would liquidex and a high dosage of vitamin a help with acne, even if i'm not on a cycle? i'm having trouble controlling my acne and i've tried everyting but accutane (and i need accutane like i need a hole in my head). i've heard people vaguely mention things about liquidex and vitamin a helping with acne during a cycle (and yes, i know that accutane is directly related to vit a, but the horror stories about it causing depression make it a no-no for me). anyone have any ideas about this? help a brotha out!!!

Yeah, high dose VIT A does help.. if you do a search on google you come up with dosing scheme some derms use.. I tried it after awhile i got su weird chest pain.. stopped taking it went away within a day.

Yeah, L-dex *might* help a bit. On gear it helps alot cuz it keeps estrogen down instead of going crazy specially on short acting gear.

But I've also read that low estrogen levels can cause dry skin.

I believe vitamin A in large doses is unhealthy because of it's liver toxic.

i was thinking the same thing too bro.. hence 'accutane' being related to vit a in the first place...
maybe it could be done with some liver antioxidants. any other thoughts?

Have you tried pantothenic acid? Works for me at about 1-2 grams. That and clearasil are the best things i have used besides just showering alot.

yeah, i have used a small amount of pantothenic acid (which i think did help some) but ran out. i have a ton i just ordered online coming soon though. i was thinking about hitting this problem from all angles and getting a baby-faced complexion back... i'll look into the vitamin A some more though i guess.. thanks ya'll.

Studies have shown that vitamin A in high doses works to clear acne. This makes sense given that accutane is a vitamin A DERIVATIVE!

HOWEVER, with that being said, they are not exactly the same thing. Be careful cause vitamin A is very toxic as it is fat soluble. Definitely consult your physician about it!!

Have you tried 10 GRAMS of pantothenic acid (B5)?
