Liquid Nolva/Clomid. Effectiveness?

I was going to buy some nolva/clomid but found it is much cheaper in liquid form. How effective is it? Do you just take it orally or what? I have taken nolvadex orally (liquid) with a previous pro-hormone cycle. I felt like it didnt even work. LOL.
