Liposuction

Okay, I think I am going to do it. Will get rid of my now ugly love handles, amazing what you can turn into when you don't have the time to put forth in the gym! 4 days a week with a lot of stress is not helping me back to the way I was. Plus age can really smack you down!

I will post before and after pics if I go through with it. I get the price quote tomorrow.

oh man, make sure to video tape the process, that way you have something to show to your family during a get together :D

i've seen the process on TV, and it looks violent how they totally gouge you with that metal rod.

Yeah, I know, the worst part is having to wear a girdle for 3-4 weeks!

are you fucking kidding me? this has got to be a joke... you are posting on a ELITE FITNESS website where you are a moderator, not an OBESE MIDDLE-AGED HOUSEWIVES website.

liposuction... wtf!! ever heard of ketosis?!?

Ask if you can keep the canullas they use, they make cool executive desk toys.

Some are just predisposed and no matter what they do, can not rid themselves of them. Ketosis will not always work. As long as you have exhausted your ability to lose them yourself, I find no reason not to have lipo.

Only a lazy fat obese garbagefaced fag would say that!

Look at a picture of Chesty and then speak up.

I used to think lipo was a great solution for some. But then if they cut down to low bf% afterwards they look lumpy and unnatural. That is what changed my mind. If you never plan on going for a really low bf on your own then fine, just think about the consequences if you do.

Actually, stress is kicking my butt. Age as well. I noticed that the luv handles no longer disappear even on a strick contest diet. The doctor actually works on body builders and knows what to do to prevent that dimpled look.

He actually goes on the conservative side and removes just enough to bring your proportions back in line.

I have been in contest shape many a time, some here have seen my picks from pre contest to contest and when I am just packing the weight.

Believe me, if diet was working I would not bother. But, it isn't. What happens is that they remove the fat from the problem areas, then as you regain weight it is more evenly distributed about for a more proportionate look. As well, now when I diet, I will spend more time losing fat around the the mid section rather than losing it else where and spending most of my time on the mid section while losing excessive amounts of muscle mass, just to get that last two percent

The biggest problem is that the skin has gotten thicker, haven't quite figured out how that happened except for a poor diet. So, that is what I will work on.

For those who think it is a cop out etc, why then do you all use steroids? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Great point... what he is getting done is becoming more comman with already fit people sometimes the last 5-10 lbs can be the hardest to loose. I have no idea how old he is but it is a fact that the older you get the slower your matablism gets no matter how active you are.

For the record I am 39. Feel like 25 and with the exception of the handles and the area around the belly button I look mid to late 20's.

If you go through with it I think it would be cool to see the pics.

My ex-wife had lipo on her stomach and arms. She didn't even need it and it didn't take long for her to put every ounce of fat back on. Fat cells divide, unlike muscle cells. I would never do it. It looked she had been hit by a train. Black and blue all over. It's not as minor as some think.

That is for sure. Lipo is not a cure or anything like that. Whether or not fat cells divide and return to the areas they were permanently removed from I don't know. I do know this, it is a tool just like weights or roids and diet. You still have to watch your diet or you will get fat in other places and not be able to reap the benifits of the procedure.

It is gonna be real painful that is for sure!

i think if it makes u feel better about yourself, do it. and your right about the steroids.....why is it a copout to have liposuction to make urself feel better when steroids help u grow......good luck chesty:)

I thought that fat cells don't divide and you won't replace more if you have some removed via lipo; but they can get larger and can retain more stored energy.

Thus, when a person pigs out after lipo, they'll look the same.

Good luck with the lipo Chesty -- will you be put under?? If so, make sure that whoever takes you home brings Lifesavers or hard candy -- the dry mouth from the anesthesia can be a bitch. The garment isn't too bad but it looks awful & if you don't tell anyone, probably no one will notice. Also, expect to bruise heavily & have the bruises spread & expect swelling for up to 6 months afterwards. Don't be discouraged to not see changes till after 4 months. Then diet & exercise is up to you to keep it off. Lipo can be permanent if you work at it.

What lipo does is remove fat cells which if you regain weight the fat cells that are left will get bigger causing the person to look as if they never had lipo. Also, one cannot be more than 10-20 lbs overweight to have lipo. You cannot be a "fat ass" or potbelly & get lipo done unless you go to an unscrupulous doctor. Most reputable drs will only work on already pretty fit people. Also, remember that you will still look like yourself but smaller.

Lipo is not a cop out -- it is a fat loss tool & an art just the the body is an art & weight training & diet is an art. Everyone must figure out what works for them & some just cannot eliminate pockets of fat thru diet & exercise alone.

If you have questions about the process or recovery, let me know.

Fats cells do divide, throughout your life. The cells themselves can shrink, but the cells once divided, will always be there. Some have lipo to remove these cells after they've lost a lot of weight. Eat like a pig again and new cells will form.

Yikes!!!

PGF2A micro pins in the area will kill the fat cells. It'll make you shit razors for days too.

ITA!!!!............WTF I thought this was a muscle board goddamn!!!......I really don't have anything nice to say so i'll be quiet and say nothing.

Fuck that on second thought yes I will. You know what..... that's fuck up IMO, Lipo is to dieting what Synthol is to Bodybuilding. Fuck dude, run, jog, starve yourself or something, do ATKINS. Lipo is SOOO feminine.

Do you use gear?

You do not know jack shit! I have been lifting/bb since I was 18. I am by not the biggest or the most ripped, but I have had my pictures up here on this site and on my own site both when I was not in contest shape and when I was. And any veteran here will attest to my being quite terrible looking as well as pretty well ripped.

I was using/defending the Atkins diet on here long before you and I still advocate it.

When you reach 39+ work 40 hours a week, have kids, go to graduate school full time, serve in the military reserve, work out and diet you let me know if you are still ripped up and ready to go.

But, you know what, I don't have to justify jack to you. If your method works for you then fine. I view it as a tool, just as I do steroids, diet, working out, etc.

Then you have ZERO arguement! If you can't see this than you are completely blind.

That's it....that's your whole point....no more argument than that??:p

How could YOU possibly compare sport supplementation (advanced or otherwise) to an actual physical O.R. procedure done by a doctor...YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS STOP IT.

CHESTY:

First of let me tell you that I am fundamentaly and rudimentarily against these Vanity Op's that pose as quick fixes, lipo's, tummy tuck's, breast implants etc.

No you don't have to justify jack to me , however this is a Fitness board and quite frankly IMO this totally diametrical to the very principles that brought most of here in the first place. Any diehard mofo who loves the thrill of taking weights and pushing their body to the "Point" will obviously be oppossed to any idea of someone getting an operation to remove fat. I do believe to each it's own, but expect something to be said on a fitness board.

If you told me you 55+ pushing sixty I still would have something to say about a Man (you or anybody) getting lipo. Are you saying that once we get to a certain age and circumstances we should just throw in the towel and go see the Doc. I ain't saying your giving up but it sure as hell sounds like it to me.

Make sure you do it for the right reasons. Don't get me wrong, I love looking at sexy girls, but make sure you will be happy with yourself.

Make sure they know what they are doing. My relative had it done and they sucked out to much fat on one of her legs and it left a big dent.

LOL at all these 20 year olds who don't know what the hell they're talking about.

good luck with the procedure if you go ahead with it.

Thanks,

I guess they are right, I have given up and I am copping out!

But, at least I know what I am doing. I wonder how steroid (oops sport supplementation) is healthier and more real? Do against vanity procedures such as lipo? Get a clue.

What in fuck do you think taking steroids is? Going to the gym? Buying nice clothes and cars, etc? Listen up! You pump your body full of chemicals and call yourself healthy. This is not because you are vain? Gimme a break! If you were not vain, you would not desire bigger muscles, a chisled look, etc. You use drugs, I have too, I will use whatever means is available to me because it is part of the territory. You just think that drugs are not cheating and not a vanity ploy

Whatever,!

That can be fixed.........they just put more fat back in....weird but can be done.....

Lipo is a means to an end -- the end of stubborn fat pockets that has been determined can be impossible to get rid of via diet & exercise alone........there are just some who cannot lose certain areas, women especially...

Chesty -- I'm sure you'll be very pleased with your results. How did the consultation go?

Very well. I mentioned several areas I was interested in and the doc imediatly told me I was better off leaving those areas alone. In particular the area around the nips. I was concerened cause on one cycle I got really tender and they sort of oozed a little and ever since then they have always looked funny to me. But he told me it was due to my pecs being a little smaller than they usually are. Told me he could do it but that it could lead to them collapsing leaving a big dent and that it couldn't be fixed.

Basically he told me what would be best and what to leave alone. That in itself told me that he knows what he is doing.

A little off the sides, back and the lower stomach. Judging from what I have and what will go, I think I will be pleased. Especially after I have been able to work out afterwards.

39! Now I understand your stress... I was 39...until yesterday. A day I have been fearing for the past five years...

Well, now from experience I can tell you Chesty: calm down. As long as you truly feel and act 25, becoming 40 doesn't seem to make a difference!

But...wait! What is this ache in my heart!!! Aaaarrgh! :D

Well, when a PS tells you not to do things -- it makes me think he's not just in it for the money. How much will it cost you? If you need any advice for recovery or what to expect, let me know via pm or whatever......
