Life....

AGENT SHAGWELL

New member
bear with me on this its late, stomach is rolling from this freakin creatine, and I can sleep.....

My metaphor....life is like those little hand held cheap games where its a encapsulated board with tiny little metal balls and hole in which you try and get the balls into.

We are the balls....free to roll, spin, bounce, whatever our kinetic energy wants to do....yet society sets this platform and these holes in which it trys to provide places for our personalities to lie......

All have their own particulare magnetic energy that attract different balls...20's, female, male, black, hispanic, single, salry 50,000, divorced....etc..

Sometimes you get caught in a hole, and you stay there, its comfortable, you don't have to use any kinetic energy, you become what it is.....you play into societys structure for you...

Yet sometimes, your world gets abrupted and you get knocked out of you little spot...and force to roll, bounce, spin, use your energy to dictate your own life.....

We all fall into these little holes.....sad thing is some people never take the time to realize it....they miss out on who they really are...never give themselves the chance to see how do I roll, bounce, spin, if I choice to be free and let only myself control my movements....

Self awareness is something that is very much lacking today.....as I go through my life I find more and more people who fit into those molds....do they lack their own personality, have they never found it, are they affraid to show it.......

Perhaphs this is why certain abbrupt unpleasant occurances in life happen...though they appear to be the worst.....they force you to enter a new realm, change of setting, force you out of that comfy hole, and discover how you will move....who you are....

This is just my little plea to those people who have spent no time find out about themselves....not only do I believe you must reveal your true character to achieve total happiness....also its creates alot more interesting people instead of the same old cookie mold person......

Also my inspiration for Virgin, a friend going through a very tuff time.......it sucks.....but in the long run you will benefit highly....kinda like doing 2 a days huh Hannibal?:)

P.S. My grandfather, god bless his soul, lived to be 93....till the day he died he would say things an do things I couldn't perdict him, a man his age, any man doing.....he was 100% true to himself....like a child free from social constraints he was amazed by everything new he could learn about.....he opened his heart and mind for 93 years.....a truer person I have never met.....

(Footnote: I am aware we are unable to be totally free from social influence unless we are stranded on a desert island alone never having contact with another individual or any communication........but I hope you get my general point)

(Footnote #2: Yes...many typos spelling errors...I know...but its late, and I'm not spell checking so deal;))

You know whats funny... when you tell someone they're geeking out, and then they get all defensive like that somehow deters from the grand implications of their newfound philosophies.

YellowD....I admit it ....I'm a geek....but I must admit something else as well.....your pic in you sig is hypnotic...I can not look away......it becomes quite distracing however, while trying to read you words I find myself gazing in to you eyes, silky full hair and sexy moustache.....and didn't you say you are of royal blood?

Life is what happens while your making other plans...

I like the analogy...Actually, I just love talking about life, since I'm one of the few individuals I know, in real life, and on this board, with such a positive outlook on things. I agree, we usually just bounce around, looking for an easy hole, but sometimes we forget there are other holes that we can fit ourselves into, even if we haven't been in them before...You have to make yourself fit, you have to make yourself get there!! :D

Good thread... :)

"I suggest to you that it is because God loves us that he makes us the gift of suffering. To put it another way...pain is a megaphone to rouse a deaf world. You see we are like blocks of stone out of which the sculpture carves forms of men...the blows of his chisel which hurt us so much are what makes us perfect."
-Sir Anthony Hopkins- "Shawdowlands"

Well Shags...I have to say that I loved your analogy. Not bad for 1 in the morning. I would also agree with what you said. I'm the type of "ball" that tries to stay out of the holes. I'm that last one that pisses you off because it won't conform...or at least I try. Way too much KINETIC ENERGY to allow myself to be stereotyped. Besides in general society is unhappy with the world around them, but they choose not to change. People are way to quick to accept "the way things are"...why would I want to conform to that??!

BTW...two a days do suck, but it's a small price to pay to be a legend...at least in my own mind;)
