Could someone clue us in on how life would be without computers??

most people say I'm insane when I say it, but without the net and computers, my life is so tightly tied to them, I don't know what I'd do with myself.

We'd just be insanely bored....and have nothing to do.....I mean....before computers people just sat around all day right?

The boredom would be enormous. I just couldn't fathom it. There has always been some type of game or something around it seems.

I suppose at one time, TV did it. I can't watch tv for too long. I guess b/c there is no interaction . . .

I know that when I talk to the old school alums from my college, the ones that were there in the 20's and around that time - they are way old guys - they just drank and sang all of the time.

Life before the infiltration of P.C.'s sucked. When I was in high school & first college trip if you wanted to do research you had to do it manually, sifting through tons of books in the library. You REALLY had to know how to type, there was no backspace or delete. I didn't get to talk to all you peeps, whenever we did not have to plant crops, cut wood, take care of animals, fight Indians we just sat around stoned listening to Hendrix and Led Zepplin with a little Pink F.

i remember back when i needed specific info i had to research for 20 minutes. now i type in a few key words.

plus, no matter how weird or illegal your hobbies are, there is a chat room/message board/usenet group of peopel who think the same way.

You had to actually go places...

Libraries for instances have these things called books!

You had to do all your math in your head and with a slid rule.

You actually had to use a phone that was hooked to a wall to talk to anyone.
