Life sucks with no running water.....

Running water quit a few days ago and the cause was figured out yesterday.

Being sore, dirty, financially overextended and very very busy makes one grumpy.

Somehow fucking off at Elite takes ones mind off of all this.

These are the best thread topics on EF...

Lived without running water most of the time I was growing up. It was all I was used to then, but I would hate to go back.

My dad still lives like that. Hauls his water from a hand dug well with a 5 gallon bucket. It's some damn good water, though.

I have rather large nuts.
Me too. Something to feel good about? Chicks have accused me of stuffing my pants. I wonder what would happen if I accused them of stuffing. They would get me fired no doubt.

That used to be the norm but having a well is better than nothing but some bottles of water.

We used to have a Well
Every time the electric goes out you lose water...

I showered a lot at the Y
You and your Y thing. :D

I am getting ready to go the gym for a shower. A person can feel so rotten that they hardly feel like going into town.

Our well was handdug with mortared native stone sides and about 2 feet in diameter. Spring fed, right at the top of the mountain out here in the Ozarks. Never went dry and stayed full of at least ten feet of crystal-clear water.

Like I said, my dad still lives there and uses it. He has a pump hooked up now that he uses to pump water into his bucket and fill his stock tank, but when the electricity goes out, he just uses a bucket with a rope and pulls it up hand-over-hand.

Adopt some disadvantaged children! They can fix your water situation, clean your house etc! All you have to do is feed them and kick them out of the house when they are 18! Think of all the time and money you will save with the free labor!

but without water, it also smells..

I take a shower every day with or without running water. It doesn't matter. I can't stand feeling grimy and I utterly detest the smell of B.O., even if it's my own.

I can't even think right w/o my hot shower.

Got water back and immediately got slammed with a 16 hour power outage. That costs me.

I've taken cold showers on a daily basis with a bucket straight from a spring until Halloween. Gets a bit nippy, but it'll sure wake you up. :D

I detest a cold shower though they are very.........invigorating.

Now the water has failed again and I am considering violence having discovered that yelling is of short term benefit.
