New Years Eve we make or set goals. Mine was to get back into the shape I was a year ago before my Rugby injuries. Cleaned my eating, increased my water intake, all the right things so I thought, then wham GOUT at 35 yrs old.

Traveled on business, came home, acquaintence dead of stomach cancer, no one knew Lester had it, then, another the same week in critical care after cracking his skull, drunk.

This week, business trip, training our new guy, having fun in Florida, go to a company we own there, find out a friend who works there, died on the operating table due to liver disease and internal bleeding.

I sit here and read threads on boards, chat with friends day to day, and realize, F#ck the dumb sh!t, (cliche moment) live life to its fullest, make it worth it.

Peace!

dont let the gout get you down. if youve just had a lifestyle/diet change, it may just be an acute episode rather than a chronic imbalance in your blood. chat to your doc and fowwlow his instructions with the drugs he gives you. make sure you do follow up blood tests to see if your acid levels/kidney function bla bla bla change, and if all the right indicators are there, get off the drugs, you mightnt need them anymore

cheers
