I have recently done a liver function test and my results are below. This was not done in North America, so I am not sure if the normal ranges are the same. Results are below.
Total Bilirubin: 9.8 umol/l Ref Range: 0-17
Direct Bilirubin: 1.7umol/l Ref Range: 0-4.3
Total Proteins: 77g/l Ref Range: 60-80
Albumin: 48g/l Ref Range: 35-50
Albumin/Globulin- Ratio: 1.7 Ref Range ( looks like either more than 4.0 or more than 1.0)
AST: 22 U/L Ref Range: 0-37
ALT: 40 U/L Ref Range: 1-42
GGT: 28 U/L Ref Range: 1-49
Alkaline Phosphatase: 164 U/L Ref Range 98-279
Form the results it looks like everything is in range. My question is, I have been looking online and the normal range for Alk Phosphatase is between 20-147 ( not sure on the units)
Are the units of measurement different in each country?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
