ok rescently found out a good friend of mine is diagnosed with leukemia, he has been using gear for the last 5 years, bugs me out, i was just wondering if the sickness he has acquired can be due to using gear or transmmitted a disease from someone else or is it just heridatary?

My fiancee' sadly had to deal with this when she was 15 years old. She is now better

Leukemia is a blood cancer. It is a malignancy of the white blood cells. It is usually linked to either hereditary or sometimes certain chemicals or excessive radiation exposure.
There are two main types - chronic and acute. The acute type is more aggressive yet more curable. The chronic type is less aggressive but can be harder to "cure".
There is a new drug out called "Gleveck" that is supposed to be a pill that has over 90% success rate on a specific type of leukemia.
By the way - I have never seen anything relating leukemia to gear use. Leukemia is not contagious.
