I hope the Eagles drill the f--cking Rams

Warner wont make it out of the 2nd Quarter--Cmon Hugh Douglas

Alright, I've got a question:

Why do people really care about pro football and "their team?" (And other sports) I mean, do you benefit in ANY way from their winning? You don't recieve money, 99.999% of fans don't personally know any players. You don't recieve a day off of work, or a blowjob by one of the cheerleaders..

I always imagined football fans as generally pot-bellied middle aged men who are too weak and out of shape to do anything similar themselves so they live out their fantasy by watching it on TV...

Is it the unknown outcome that does it? The real time suspense...? But why is it suspenseful though?? I mean, I get moderately proud when the Broncos win because I know my grandfather is happy, but do I care that much? No.

I'm not critisizing, I know the people on here aren't pot-bellied middle aged losers...so what exactly does it for you guys?

frackal.. i cant explain it.. its a special bond and connection... i feel like they are feeding off of me... like every play is for me... i honestly can say i "love" the eagles... i smile watching them, i even tear up some times... when they win big ones i do both... its an energy... its awesome, heartbreaking, breathtaking.... etc...

its love man... its love.

rams by 17. a great and unexpected run by the eagles, they've had a fantastic season (this coming from a redskins fan). however their season ends tomorrow. whoever the eagles nickel defensive back is, he's going to have a long day. and whoever covers faulk out of the backfield is going to have a real long day.

Professional sports are the source of an overabundance of misplaced enthusiasm.

I can't wait until people grow tired of them.

it'll be caldwell or emmons.. hopefully caldwell so emmons can be free in zones or blitzing...

here are my thoughts: eagles db's match up well against the rams... dawkins and moore are gonna be huge in a 2 deep scheme and blitzing.. i'm expecting dawkins to be the guy who does something to win the game (on defense)... hugh hit warner a bit in week 1 and will hit him harder now... the league took 35k of his money and i think he is gonna get his moneys worth out of warners ass... faulk isn't the key... i think holt and bruce are. if they contain THOSE TWO eagles will win... faulk isnt gonna have a huge rushing game, he will be more valuable as a receiver. the one thing that worries me is speed.. eagles are so aggressive on d that reverses and trick plays get them and we all know the rams have tricks in their game...

i'm excited and if someone told me this is what it would come down to in the beginning of the season i would have liked it and said bring it on!!!

hmmm, funny thing is i expected the eagles to be here 100%... i said all along "IF THEY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THEN THEY ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL".... i'm nervous and want this thing started.... this is it!!!

Troy Vincent is hurt and might not even play. Andy Reid has a desicion to make. Does he want to go with an all pro that can give about 50% or a back up that can give it his all, but might not be as good.

Whatever he goes with, the rams will be looking to pick on that side, they better get help over there.

troy was doing sprints during the walk through today... he is gonna go, no way around it... sure, he will get protection with a safety over top but he will go... al harris is a GOOD cb, but he makes stupid mistakes (uses hands far too much and is too aggressive)... maybe al starts but troy will be in there... after harris their is a huge drop off... crutchfield is a rookie and would be destroyed... rashard cook better be the guy they put in back there, he is a safety but far better and more experienced than crutchfield...

i'm confident...

Well, I didn't expect the eagles to make this far.....so I gotta give em credit, they pull one out if they can somehow upset the Rams timing. One thing though, if they come after Warner......they're going to pay on the draws. This is what is so amazing about the Rams sometimes.....if they decided to feature Marshall exclusively for 15 games, I have no doubt he would set the rushing record for a single season. But as good as he is, they don't need him that much in "most" circumstances. I'll agree with this, Warner isn't going to get those long deep passes off, he's not going to have the time. Philly better watch out though, this might be the game Marshall really breaks out. So I don't think Philly can just jailbreak the whole game......this should be interesting though.

not only that, they'll put marshall as a WR. so who do you cover him with? the nickel back is convering Hakim. So do you put a safety on marshal and leave only on safety in the backfield? or do you put a linebacker on Faulk. Either way you are dead.

agreed.......I know the eagles are going to pressure warner, but I just don't see them getting to him THAT quick to where he can't make quick outs or get off a screen to Marshall. And I really think that they're going to draw/trap the hell out of the eagles with Marshall. And Marshall will command enough attention so that a fake will make the D hold up for just an instant, and that's enough for Warner to hurt you. I don't know....on paper it looks like it's going to be a bad day for the Eagles.....but I just can't count them out. Hell, i didn't think they'd make it past tampa.

yeah, the eagles have been damn impressive. they are one REAL pro bowl WR from going to the show. Plus they need to hope the Rams lose players to free agency or injury.

caldwell covered faulk well enough in week one.. he'll do fine.

when marshall is in the backfield he is gonna have to pick up blitzes first, then leak out... advantage eagles.

the game on now has pats win all over it... steelers dont look good at all.
