anyone remember how much fun it was to play whiffle ball outside until it was literally too dark.

picking teams with your friends...

remember playing Tecmo Bowl over and over and over again until your fingers hurt. And how your friends said you were a "cheater" cuz you either had Bo Jackson or Walter Payton on your team?

remember when playing outdoors was the "cool" thing to do?

remember when getting dirty and having your mom make you get sprayed down with the garden hose was a nightly occurence before you could step inside the house?

remember when pizza and ice cream was a treat--not a vice

what do you guys get nostalgic about?

ah the good old days.

the ice cream man would drive around your neighborhood and was chased.

Only responsibilities were taking out the trash.

Riding your bike everywhere was the best form of transport

Beating up the good humour guy and taking all his money.....good times.

Playing "Army" in the neighborhood with guns that actually looked real........... playing into the night while hiding in neighbor's bushes until your victim sneaks by and you say "BANG, you're totally dead dude"

Disclaimer: The previous game was played in California..... DO NOT ATTEMPT in Texas!

We used to light things on fire in the woods and sneak into my friends parents liquor cabinet. I think we were around 11. We did nothing but jump on the trampoline, go swimming, or ride bikes. Those were definitely fun days.

Watching uncle mike role down the front steps, too drunk to stand up and taking the change out of his pockets....ahhhhhh...good times..

so if i talk like this will i get the hot chicks too?

Remember urinating on the neighborhood dogs while standing on a fence?

Remember throwing your own feces at cars passing by?

Remember sitting on the sidewalk everyday after school to watch a dead squirrel be run over again and again until nothing was left?

Remember selling drugs to the other kids in your kindergarten class?

Remember picking up friendly kitties so as to throw them in the fenced-in backyard of your nextdoor neighbor's dog?

Remember helping your 5 year old brother cross the road by waiting for a car to come and then shouting, "GO!"?

Good times...good times. I actually did two of those so see if you can guess which two.

Playing with my Evil Knievel Stunt Cycle and making him do all kinds of tricks.

There was always one neighbor who didn't want the kids playing in his yard and he would scream at you if he caught you. Kind of upped the ante a little and kept it interesting.

Nathan, you had a strange childhood. :worried:

Maybe. I did some weird things sure. I'm told when I was really little I would run around in circles in the backyard for hours at a time and really scare my parents cause people aren't supposed to have that kind of energy or so I hear. So, I'd like to add that one to the list as well.

I did the squirrel thing and the little brother thing. In my defense though, while my brother did run and the cars would slam on the breaks and get pissed off, my brother was dumb enough to do it and it was really funny. He would get like inches from the other side of the street and still run back towards me when he heard the screeching. I laughed until my parents got a hold of me. Oh yeah, and he never got hurt.

Everyone has a story about jumping ramps on your bikes trying to act like the guys on TV....always had good wipe-out stories.

Okay, I remember the days
High rights, low lefts, even stevens and fades
Troops, Lottos, and BK's, those was the days
High tech boots spray painted witcha names
T-shirts airbrushed that read the same
Thick herringbone chain, one gold with yo' initial
Harris Photos, group shots, can you remember?
Barry him told his bitch go to the prom and die
Didn't lie shot his-self in the head with the 4-5
When she disobeyed, had North Clayton crazed
Just to reiterate dog those was the days
Fo' the invasions of haters, man crews from all around
used to get down at True Flavas, bumpin Key Lo
Rockin Damage, Cross Colour and Paco
While playboys stepped in talent shows
Prom night, tux and Kangol was so cool
Fuck them new model cars we ridin' old school (old school)

We were tryin so hard
Hard to survive
Cause even though we were young
We had to stay strong
No matter what we went through
It was me and my crew
And that's how it went
When we were kids

In 3 months we stayed in Jamestown
Hamwood and Diplomats
Played with Transformers, G.I. Joe's and Thundercats
We was lovin' that
Before they started jackin jacks
For notes from Red Oaks had folks scared to come through
College Park after dark, Crown Victorias police unmarked cars
Be aware, Wayne Williams was out there, but we ain't care
Kids was gettin stabbed and ditched out there too busy playin
Double dare ya touch shorty on the ass, that's a bet
Want your Kool-Aid and sugar, smack your hands and say "sweat"
It's mine now place it in my Louis Vuitton pouch
Thump a nigga on his knuckles make him say ouch
Slouch socks, box Chevy Caprice
Hot Niss, cut da whole Disturbin' Tha Peace
wit no conscience, broke niggaz call 'em nonsense
No comments, it's Lil' Fate payin homage to College Park

I had a Long John but no Silver, no gold or plat
I was simply red from the years I been holdin' back
With two sides to a book I lick stamps and light matches
And set fires in garbage pales and cabbage patches
A child of the corn been wild since I was born
Climbin' over barbed wire, clothes got torn
Shoes got muddy and my click turned cruddy
Wherever I go they went they my buddies
I brush teeth, brush naps and calm streets
Dreamin' of Cadillacs, wood wheels and plush seats
Cats with gold teeth and raps with such beats
Macks with no grief and some sacks of green leaf
When I loaded my cap gun I was ready for ACTION!
Starin' at beer cans and a moment to crack one
Wanna hang with the big boys and play with the big toys
And be with the people makin all that got damn noise, man
