Use the pivot of your back to pull the bar backward , but once your back is straight (0 degrees or straight up) arch the back more as if your sticking out your chest and pull the bar in at the same time.

You should feel a squeeze in the middle of the back.

I do these stiff legged as well. I stretch all the way forward to get a good hamstring stretch and it forces me to use full range of motion

Hey

Make sure that when your head is 0 degrees or straight up that you arch your back as far as you can arch it and at the same time use that back arch to pull that bar in towards your stomach.

Never pull that bar in towards your stomach with your arms!!!!

Your back should do 100% of the work

Let me correct the part in bold. You SHOULD pull back with your elbows. This will cause a lower back flex that is respectable for even a natty...

Those are some good tips by GJohnson.

My favorite back exercises are definately Deadlifts, bent-over rows, T-bat rows (free weight), Close grip cable rows (palms facing each other), one-arm dumbbell rows, and Pull ups. I wouldn't waste your time with cable pulldowns. Most people I notice doing those never grow at all.

Do not underestimate deadlifts my man. Also, having a nice rear-delt and trap tie-in looks good as well. I do heavy (4-6 reps) dumbbell shrugs for traps on back day. Shoulders and deads also hit them. My traps are usually a dominate muscle group for me.

The last set of each exercise that I do for back, I will do a triple drop-set or more. So lets say I was doing Close grip cables and did my last set of 250-lbs. I would lean over and drop it to 210-lbs, then 180-lbs, and 150-lbs and 100lbs. Those are just figures I am usign as an example. It's a lot easier to do them with cables though. This really fries my back to pieces. Deads and hypers are awesome for lower back. Make sure your abdominals are also strong.

Like GJohnson stated though, just make sure that you use your back to pull your weight and not your arms.

i think ive been doing too much forearms got a slight feel of tendonitis coming up along the bone in the side of my forearm.. kinda feels like shin splints but in my arm.. diet sucked today.. eating at work blows.. i called in sick to work on tuesday just so i could eat all day haha.. tonights leg workout went very well.. left the gym crawling almost .. everything was so pumped up.. thanks for the K btw you guys who just gave some

back went good today.. used some of the tips you guys gave.. deads went up another 20 pounds since last back workout.. i duno how thats possible but it did.. hah.. cant wait to eat all day

Easy to pull the connective tissues around the forearm. And then it gets to be a cronic pain.

I wear elbow wrap sleeves that were meant to be a knee wrap sleeve size Medium. They are snug and really prevent these little pulls when rowing and chinning.

I also use straps a lot.

i use straps for most of my back stuff, i actually feel the most pain when doing barbell curls or dips, i have to squeeze my forearm when done with the exercise and slowly release to keep from gettin the shooting pain.. small price to pay i guess.. i got the same issue back when i ran my deca cycle.. guess it comes with strength gains on my body.. ugh.. its very bareable its just a nuisance

what kind of supplements/vitamins could help with connective tissue regeneration.. i think i remember ulter or macro saying that EQ helped some.. but as far as OTC supplements? could i be taking anythign to help with the tendonitis/shooting pain in my forearm.. its about mid way down my forearm and like follows down the bone
 
took 2 days off.. arm healed up.. did chest/tris.. im off the dbol now.. but still getting crazy ass pumps like i was on the dbol.. could it be the eq already? im on wk 4..

gained about another 1-2 pounds since off the dbol
 
for anyone who cares..

weight is kinda stuck since i got off the dbol.. 24 days in now.. i logged my diet for 4 days.. averaged out to around 5000 calories per day.. id THINK i should be gaining weight off of that.. but my maintenance must be higher than i thought..

lifts are all still increasing.. had to get the forearm totally under control so layed off of curls/forearms for 2 more days..

finally starting to see some size difference in my legs.. calfs are getting wider.. not really thicker though.. quads/hammys alot thicker/defined..

deads are up about 50 lbs from pre-cycle
bench around 30lbs
squats.. 45-50 or so

upper chest is coming along nicely..need to hit bis/tris hard now that my forearm feels better.. gonna give it another week and post some more pics
 
bp was kinda high.. just got it checked at one of those machine things in walgreens.. i know they arent 100% but.. 159/80 94 heart rate.. kinda high? maybe im not taking enough anti e? i also pissed 5 pounds of water upon waking up this morning.. scale went down 5 pounds in 2 minutes.. crazy hhaa
 
Those Walgreen machines are worthless and are not accurate.

The test and Eq should really be coming in full effect right about now. You will probably lose some water weight from D/C of the Dbol, but this does not mean that muscle gains are not occuring. You have to remember that since cutting out the Dbol, you are also getting less hormone.

Just continue eating and lifting and things will work out in the end.

Lean muscle mass takes time to develop, remember, it has only been 4-6 weeks for your cycle.

And do not forget or under-estimate that almost all of us who use AAS, especially when bulking, feel like we are ever big enough. When you stop for PCT, you will realize how much you did gain.

just a question.. ive been off the dbol for almost a week now.. i didnt have enough to continue for 6 wks because i had to up my dosage more than expected.. the question is.. what are you guys opinion as far as anavar vs dbol..im wanting to close my cycle out with an oral when the time comes... to finalize some strong gains before starting pct..

i know strength is similar.. bloat > with dbol.. size gains > with dbol.. but i really dont want to have that extra water weight on me at the end of the cycle that ill just drop off..

open for conversation..

started gaining weight again.. got my diet dialed in.. im around 4800-5000 cal now..

tendonitis is gettin annoying in my left arm.. cant really do much heavy biceps or forearms anymore without 5 advil and some bengay

all my lifts are steadily climbing.. had to kinda back off due to the tendonitis..

should i just rest it for a few days or work through it.. advice?

squat 420 (hard on my knees my legs are so fuckin long i do alot of leg press/hack squats instead)

all my lifts are increasing steadily.. some tendonitis in my left forearm sometimes requires a two day rest .. which just means cardio/legs/abs in those rest days

shoulders and arms are growing real fast, upper chest is coming in thicker.. back width is gettin there.. depth needs work.. legs are chizzled.. id like to bulk them up but i dont think my body will let me..

I have 2500mg of anavar i was thinking about throwing in after wk 13.. and running for 6 wks .. so basically im extending the cycle to 16-18 wks.. i have all my PCT drugs on hand.. HCG Nolva AIFM and Clomid.. supplement with creatine and n.o. to keep strength up, gonna get some tylers here in a few days..

would it be a bad idea to close the cycle out.. with this..

wk 13-18 50mg tren ace ED
wk 13-18 50mg Anavar ED

of course id probably drop the nolva out of the pct because of the prog from the tren..
