Leptin Question

New member
Leptin levels drop in response to the body reading a starvation condition, thus the refeed in CK diets. If submaintenance levels of caloric intake continues, will leptin levels eventually rebound to reflect the new caloric norm?

Not quite clear on your question. ....

Basically, depending on how severe the calorie change (up or down) leptin will most likely adapt. Leptin is a cytokine, it is produced in response to a stimulus. If you change your energy intake by a a few kcal's here and there, nothing will really happen. If it is fairly drastic, your body will most likely adapt though. Does that help?
