legal question regarding testing

Hello. If this is already answered on another thread i could not find please just post the link i do not wish to waste anyones time here.

My question is if drug tested (someone petitioned the court for the test say in a legal dispute the opposing party uses the court to make you submit to testing) and you fail the test will the failing results only hurt your case or will there also be legal action/consequences for having taken illegal substances in the past and it being detected on a test?

if my question is unclear please let me know so i can try to word this differently.. Thanks in advanced for any help/answers yall can give.

I think this one will be specifically for juice though im not sure their exact angle on it but trying to invalidate my defence somehow with my use of steroids.
but seeing as im not on probation and havent been caught with them ever there wont be any legal consequences for failing other than the current case?

no you can't be prosecuted for having used an illegal substance in the past (No new charges), YES it will affect your current defense. Best of luck with whatever it is your facing.
