You can trust what I said. Each state has its own criminal laws and you are not guilty of anything in New Jersey when you commit a crime elsewhere. As far as your questions not being answered, either these guys did not see them or they are too busy to answer. I intend to answer your question re Indian land tomorrow as promised. Keep in mind I am not a mod and am not as compelled to answer every question. If I was a mod I would take more time with this stuff. But Rick Collins practices criminal law and I would guess that, in addition to trying to sell a book, he is also looking to get clients from the boards. So, he might be reluctant to give FREE legal advice. Maybe I am wrong. I do not know the function of the mods in this forum. I know that Rick Collins should be able to answer these questions "like that." But then who will buy his book? In case you guys did not notice, this board is a for-profit enterprise and I would not be surprised if the mods, in addition to the owner, have deals with Author L. Rea, Rick Collins, Nizoralman, Paperman, etc. I am not saying that is bad. Nothing in life is free. So long as it is a quality product, that's the American dream. Getting back to the question, it is elementary law that you are subject to the laws of the state in which you commit a crime. If you live in NJ and commit a crime in VT, you are now a prisoner of VT. They don't care where you reside
