How would the DEA even know whether a face-to-face visit even occurred (i.e. the millions and millions of "call-in" prescriptions issued by family docs every year)? Also, once a prescription is issued, as long as it's followed i'm not even sure it's in the DEA's juristiction -- wouldn't it be an FDA issue?genarr3 said:
That don't make it legal. Lots of docs have lost thier licenses doing just that. It's a new thing, the gov hasn't really caught up to it yet. There were lenghty posts on the Legal forum about this very subject, but I can't find them at the moment.Boston Strangler said:

I think that this is an invasion of privacy in a way, if you want to be a drug addict, that is your business. I don't use drugs myself, but if I wanted to go to one doctor to get arimidex and another to get aromasin, that should be my freedom. Pretty soon they will put a complete stop to a lot of things on the internet as well, its poorly regulated now, but that is only temporary, as long as you don't intend to do people harm, you deserve your privacy. I agree in that I lean toward a more libertarian attitude as well. Where I struggle is how do you pay for the social costs of these things? For example, some people can use steriods very constructively and some have massive issues (i.e. roid rage, ER visits, sides that require medical services).
