Leg Routines?

Okay guys... I have degenerative disk disease in my lower back. Its fairly advanced. The Dr told me not to squat and use other certain movements... basicly anything upright with lbs on my shoulders.
What would you guys recomend for a leg routine. My quads are shrinking like you would not believe. I still do extensions, curls, leg press etc.
Any have the same problem? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

what about sissy squats...doesnt take much weight to get a good workout.. but it might strain your back...what about lunges?
i have a lower back problem too and i found that i can do front squats with no problem but i cant do regular squats.

bro i have the same thing 2 back surgerys later.i do 4 sets hack squats
4 sets plate loaded sled 4 sets leg extesions 4 sets leg curls and 4 sets lunges thats pretty much all i can do.all light weight high reps.and never train without your belt.take easy and grow ;)

assuming you can put any weight on your shoulders you will not be able to front squat, do machine hacks, although you may be able to do barbell hacks..the only other alternative: leg presses and leg ext's..

I get excellent results from heavy leg press with high reps, but everyone is different. As a matter of fact I read some where else of a bodybuilder not favoring squats so much due to the increased stress on the lower back and only sticks with leg press and this fucker has some serious quads!
