led zeppelin fans

i've been getting into older stuff lately, and i recently got led zeppelin's BBC sessions, and that shit fuckin rocks. what other zep cd's do you guys reccomend.

My favorites are Led Zeppelin 1 and Physical Graffiti. My favorite song by Zep is on Zeppelin 2 and is called Ramble On. All the Zeppelin albums are great and the most recognizable one for an average listener would be Led Zeppelin 4 which has Stairway to Heaven on it.

What album has D'yer M'aker on it?! Its driving me crazy

Houses of the Holy. Also has Over the Hills and Far Away which has a killer guitar riff. And I tend to drive most girls crazy. :)

Damn, just about everything those guys did was amazing. In my Time of Dying was so cool, as was 10 years gone, Fool in the Rain...

Zeppeling 2, either that or I like random zep songs that they don't play on the radio, like Moby Dick, or Nobodys Fault But Mine, communication breakdown, etc.

Pretty much every song Rocks except for Hot Dog.

Houses of the Holy is my fav album although i have the box set.

This is one of the few bands where i can just put a cd in and listen to the whole thing and love all of it.

I recommded Tool's cover of No Quarter. It is on the Salival disk.. its a boxed set.

yeah, i am one the biggest tool fans out there. i have been down with them since i was in 7th grade. no quarter is the best cover song done by any band hands down. there are several live versions floating around out there that you should definately check out. rumor has it that tool pissed off howard stern because he wanted the studio version of 'no quarter' on h is private parts movie (the studio version of no quarter was around way before salival), but tool refused. anyhow, tool and led zep fuckin rock.

I am familiar with the Howard Stern beef.. basically the record label agreed to let the song be on the album but Tool the band said no.

I've seen no Quarter live a couple of times (in 1998).. it was really cool.

Now Howard rants on Tool any chance he gets. I'm a huge howard stern fan too, but I don't see he and Tool ever working together or Tool doing his show ever.

i enjoy how tool stays out of the media spotlight, and when they do go for interviews, they are usually obnoxious pricks, especially maynard.

Not all interviews are like that..

Check out www.toolarmy.com there is one interview there with Robert Fripp of King Crimson that is very serious..

Also in some magazine (they have done hundreds of interviews) they are serious.. it all depends on who is interviewing them and the questions that are asked.

I've been into Tool for a decade now and I too am happy they keep out of the spotlight.. i find it a shame that they only sell 2 million albums each time one comes out though.. they deserve to make make more money in these other fools out there.

I still love Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid. Especially the part when Heartbreaker ends, and it goes right into the next song with like a second delay.

yeah all three.. but i never saw the full set... traffic was bad in LA so i missed it.. was running late to the oakland.. and was drinking in the parking lot during the sacramento one.
