leather jackets?

Taps

I want something that looks really fucking good, but won't go out of style in 6 months. And it has to be versitile -- I want to be able to wear it with dress clothes, and also with jeans for a more casual look.

So what should I look for? Should it have a zipper or buttons? Bomber style or longer? Black, brown, or some variation?

merci :)

I have a 3/4 length brown leather jacket ,3 buttons very nice and goes well with anything.

I find that length is better then a bomber style

I just picked up my Armani Collectzoni black fitted leather jacket. Looks hot as fuck. Ordering a brown suade Armani Collectzoni jacket in two weeks.

DING DING

the collar is key

also make sure if it is a real motorcycle jacket that the shoulder pads and other padding come out if u want to wear it out....

I have a few problems with a motorcycle collar.
1. It's trendy. Yeah, it looks cool now, but next year...?
2. I can't wear it with dress clothes (shirt/tie/etc). Well, I could but I think it's a little flashy, and I need to dress somewhat conservatively @ work.

Don't get me wrong, that jacket Debaser found looks sweet as hell, but I don't think I'd be able to wear it often enough.

Word on the lambskin. Shit is expensive too, but damn it feels nice.

Leather jacket I've always thought this was a classic look for a men's leather jacket.

That's cool oak -- some guys can pull off 3/4 leather, but I'm not one of them. lol Even more rare is the man who can look good in a leather trenchcoat. Again, that ain't me.

I was thinking something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...5?_encoding=UTF8&n=1044448&s=apparel&v=glance

Dunno if that's a "bomber" style or soemthing else...
taps i have one in that style, slit pockets on the sides, same length, simple collar, and silver zipper. looks great, and is probably the most versatile of all the jackets i have. you can dress it up or down, and wont go out of fashion. the main features to worry about imo (apart from leather quality and fit) are length, and collar style. longer jackets date faster, and dont let you show off your bum, as well as getting ratty faster. collars like the one in dirtyd's link get old quickly, imo

then you should wear a medium jacket...lol

but keep in mind many designer brands, especially italian run a size small. That diesel leather jacket I got (posted earlier in thread) is marked xxl but is really more like an xl.
