Learned my lesson...

Deadlifting yesterday, 225lbs, on the last rep of the last set in the last 3 inches of lowering the bar I got a mental fade and rounded my back..wham..just like that I strained my back! Instant pain! I was pretty nervous at first as I got a little dizzy and sweaty..thankfully it is just a medium strain, was worried I wouldn't be walking today, but I am OK.

Does this happen to everyone at least once? I now realize the importance of a strict form.

you'd be wise to deadlift with the right form next time. or at least to get someone who knows what their doing check your form

Deadlifting is no joke. It's an exercise I never go to failure on due to issues like this. If I think my form is going to be compromised on my next rep I stop.
Thats true. I would risk stopping too soon Before I would jepordize my form, thats how you get injurded doing deadlifts.

I've done that with 450 lbs. in my hands. Be careful bro... those can be unforgiving.

I never hurt my back doing deads... only hardcore backpumps - do hurt btw..

When I deadlift, Squat, Bench and every other excercise for that matter I stay 100% locked in and focused.. It would be wise to do this.

I lost focus for a split second, good thing is it will never happen again, and my back is going to be fine in a couple more days. Could have been worse!
