Lean bulking cycle: how many calories?

Anakin

New member
Ok I posted this on the diet board but responses are slow, and this fits in here because I'm talking about doing a cycle.

How many calories should I eat on cycle to put on as much muscle as possible, with as little fat as possible, without compromising gains?

I was thinking 400g protein/300g carbs/100g fat for a total of 3700 calories. I think there is no point in putting on fat while bulking, but I'm willing to put on some fat just to make sure I'm getting enough calories for growth.

I'm 5'10, around 182lbs 12-13% bf (abs are starting to show). I was 196lbs a few weeks ago, and I started cutting 2 weeks ago so I'm down from 193lbs. BTW I haven't lost muscle in my opinion. And before you flame me for my stats because my weight doesn't sound like a lot, I have a very small bone structure (my wrists are like a girl's, little over 6 inches I think), and naturally low test (a bit above 400ng/mL). This is going to be my first cycle, mainly primo with a low dose of test and dbol.

Thanks and karma!

I just stick with the bodyweight X 17 formula, but I tend to gain much easier than I lose.

This looks pretty good to me, my only concern is it may be a bit too high above your maintence. Any idea what your maintenence calorie number is?

Maintenance is hard to tell because I think the metabolism adapts to how much you're eating. I think I have a fairly high metabolism, and maintenance is around 2700 calories per day. At least that's what I calculated I was eating on a regular day when I was at 193 lbs and not gaining nor losing weight. I was between 190-196 for months, though at different bf%'s.
