Does it follow the theory that what you perceive or project you receive?

Be careful following something like that.
A good example would be most financial advisors or mortgage brokers. They have a saying "perception is reality"
They act like they have money and are very successful. The reality is most are not and do not.
If you know them you will find that they are constantly selling you something. Be it a story or what ever.
In the end you don't believe a word they say yet they keep up with projecting something that is not there.

On the other hand if you understand what makes a person tick you can then interact with them in a way that they will comprehend.
You can present yourself in a manner in which they are more receptive too.

In the end its all manipulation. You are either being manipulated or you are manipulating. Is that for you? If it is you will wind up with someone just like you.

I go for honesty. I don't hide things. The interesting part is that being honest is offensive and intimidating to most people.

I just want to go through life comfortable with who I am?
Now take your pants off...

The Law of Attraction is not about being phony and trying to convince others that you are something that you are not.

"the theory that what you perceive or project you receive"

I was addressing the fact that some people project things that they want.
Projecting being rich for example.

That is a loose translation of my interpretation not anything in the book.

Here is a direct quote from the book “The law of attraction tells us that we become a magnet for whatever we give our attention to – whether it’s wanted or unwanted.”

My point is that it isn't about projecting an image to other people. It is about focusing your mind on what you desire rather than what you fear. I think it works pretty well.

i read some of it, seems like a bunch of bullshit to me, but who knows.

I heard about the idea. I don't think that's it's magic. If you want something, chances are you'll do things to work for it. For example, you want to diet down. Changes are...you'll diet down. Magic!

it is very simple actually
what you manifest subjectively with thoughts, feelings, visualization and emotion will manifest objectively given you keep those interpretive bands of attention on it. this is the fundamental backbone of how creation works.
so visualize what you want, feel the emotion connected to the experience of having it, maintain this faith through any and all other determinisms and voila! the objective manifestation occurs!
