That's funny. I was just thinking about Laverne and Shirley when I saw vinylgroover's post in this thread:

There was an episode of L&S where they got stuck babysitting some boy, about 12 years old or so. They had no idea what to do to amuse him, so Shirley tells Laverne to tell him a joke or a poem or something. Laverene starts in with "There once was a man from Nanntucket..." before Shirley jumps and clamps her hand over Laverne's mouth. Still can't believe that made it on TV back in the 70's.
