Latest Cycle (Prop and Var) - Log

Hi All,

I am just writing this as I have done with all my cycles as a small log of updates with all my results, sides, changes in mood or whatever I think is associated to the gear use.

Yesterday I started my 3rd cycle:
8Weeks:
Test Prop (75mg e/d)
Anavar (60 mg e/d)

I have my pct and other aspects of the cycle in check as far as I can tell from advice off experienced forum members and personal experience.

My last two cycles I ran 100mg prop and 100mg var and saw very good results, but I am doing a lot of conditioning work and playing sport during this cycle and did not want the pumps to get out of control and effect my performance.

My goals are a little bit of everything, which I know is frowned upon, but I would ideally like to gain a few lbs lean muscle (5-10lbs) increase strength and power and to maintain (as much as possible) my engine and speed.

I know my speed and endurance are likely to suffer a little, but I'm just trying to keep this to a minimum while improving my size, strength and power.

My diet is pretty good, I get between 4200-5000 cals a day and I am following Paleo diet (except for shakes) so everything is pretty clean. I am also training twice a day, strength in the mornings and power/conditioning in the evenings.

I'd be happy to answer any questions and I am open to any advice or criticism (I do not claim to know everything about gear, that's why I am here!)

UPDATE:

Yesterday I did my 1st jab and everything went smoothly.

My current stats are:
Height - 5'10"
Weight - 212 lbs (aiming to get up to 220)
Bodyfat - Around 13% (aiming to maintain or drop slightly)
Squat - 430 lbs (aiming to increase by 30 lbs)
Deadlift - 570 lbs (aiming to increase by 30 lbs)
Bench - 350 lbs (aiming to increase by 20 lbs)
 
UPDATE:

I have done 2 jabs now and have just started day 3. So far I have felt very little discomfort from the injections (my 1st cycle I suffered a bit from prop pain early on), but today will be my 1st quad shot, which I have had the most trouble with in the past.

I did some skipping and some running yesterday and my left shin is felling quite tender. I have suffered from shin splints in the past and want to try to avoid this if at all possible.

Has anyone had similar problems while on gear? If so what did you do to help with the shins?

Apart from that, everything is good, feeling positive and looking forward to some big gains!

UPDATE:

Did my 1st Quad shot yesterday, and today it is a little bit tender.
Not as bad as I have had in the past but can still feel it!
Doing my second quad shot today then on to delts tomorrow and the next.

So far everything seems to be going well.
My mood is good, I am feeling hard and strong and apart from my shins everything is positive.

Looking forward to Monday so I can see if there have been any strength gains in my Squat.
 
PAIN UPDATE:

Ok so the discomfort in my right quad is now quite bad and is matched by the discomfort in my left quad now (after pinning there yday).

But apart from that everything is going well, my strength seems good, my fitness levels don't seem to have been effected at all so far and I'm in good spirits.

Curious as to why you chose Var for your compound though? Not criticising, just wanted to know why Var on particular :)

Quad pain is very common, we both know this being Quad pinners. Some days I have pain free shots, other days I'bb be a bit tight or stiff, or maybe move a bit and it'll cause nasty pain for days.

I chose var for a few reasons mainly:

1. I have used it in the past and it gives good strength gains without that bloated (obvious on gear) look.

2. It is out of your system pretty quickly so I have less chance getting tested for my sport.

3. I am more interested in the strength increase than purely size, I wouldn't mind putting on a few pounds but its not may main goal.

Have you used Var before?

I was just under the impression it was mainly used for Cutting cycles, Although probably a bit naive to think that's all it can be used for :P

But thanks for the info, didn't realise it worked quite like that.

Edit* Nah, havn't used Var before :) Was on a Test-400, Tri-Tren and Dbol cycle.

Hope the cycle works, I'll follow it closely.
 
Nah mate, it works nicely on a low-mid strength cycle I find.
Like I say I don't want it to be obvious I have juiced either, so works well for that.
Also the sides are little to mild at worst in my experience.

SIDES UPDATE:

I am now 7days into my cycle and everything seems to be going well.

The pain in my quads subsided fairly quickly and I am very positive for my potential gains on this cycle.

I have found over the last 2-3days that I have been running very hot, My skin feels slightly warmer than normal to touch and I find I'm burning up a bit in the nights. Its nothing serious, just seems a bit strange.

Has anyone seen similar problems to this at all?

Var always spikes my body temperature, and it gives me some serious calf tightness/shin pain during my usual running.
Though var + uphill running has given me the most incredible calves.

I love the hardening, strengthening and vascular effects of var. Hands down my favorite substance besides test (which makes you feel like a god).

The shins and calves have been ok since I have been strapping them so hopefully its all smooth going from here on in.

UPDATE:

So a week has passed and my training has gone full cycle.

I have to say that after today I feel a bit disappointed, my strength has barely gone up at all!
All be it the rep ranges has changed from 5s to 3s, the weight has of course gone up, but not on the scale that I was hoping!

I am hoping that I will see some better gains as the week and cycle progresses.

Fair enough man. Loving the cycle and honesty. More of this is needed.

I think although esters are short you'll need to give it longer to kick in. Your workouts + roids give the gains. Your gear may have kicked in, but probably need more workout time to improve... If that makes sense.
 
Subbed... I am surprised prop + a sold dose of var hasn't improved your strength a fair amount by now... as your cycle looks really good for strength gains. What do your lifts look like in comparison to when you started (throw us some numbers? Are you sure the var is legit?

Also the pain from my jabs doesnt seem to be dying down like it did on previous cycles.
So I have asked my source to get some more of the prop that I have used before and will hopefully be able to run this for the last 6 weeks of the cycle.

I am not saying the prop I am on is fake, it just maybe not working well for me.
My body obviously doesn't like it as the prop pain is worse than I have had before and, as I say, hasn't died down after 10 jabs now.

The way my training is set up I should see results weekly (i.e. I do 2 heavy compound lifts a day throughout the week and this cycle is repeated mon-friday). So if I do a weight on monday the 1st week for 5 reps, I should be able to do an equivalently higher weight for 3 reps the following week.

This has happened, but only very slightly, where as on previous cycles I had seen jumps in 10-20lbs in a week!

Pip from prop tends to make me think it is legit, as if it did not have pip the firt thing that would pop into my head is that it is not prop, so that is not a red flag.

The var however is... you are using a fair amount so I would think strength gains would happen almost instantly. A lot of var on the market is actually winny, but even then that dose of winny should give you a quick increase in your lifts in the first week. I would inquire regarding the quality of the var if a week from now you are not seeing some improvements.

The var I have are little pink square tabs with SM on one side and scored on the other.
Anyone have any experience with these or similar?
They are supposedly dosed at 20mg?

Just because the prop hurts like hell does that mean its legit?
Pretty sure if I injected hazelnut oil in my muscle it would hurt haha!
 
UPDATE:

Have sorted it with my source that I will get the same test prop as I ran on my last cycle by saturday.
So will be able to run this for the remaining 6weeks of the cycle.

Hopefully will see some better gains with this.
 
UPDATE:

Got my new prop and new var (managed to get some of the var I had taken before too!)

So basically restarting this cycle as of today and cutting it to 6 weeks.

I did see some small results over the 1st two weeks but nothing like I was expecting so hopefully will have some better gains over the next few weeks.
 
Hi guys,

Since changing the gear over on Sunday I have already noticed some improvements in strength.

My squat and dead have both gone up and I am hoping my bench will be doing the same in the next few days.

I am feeling a lot better now I have changed the gear too, the PIP is still there but not as bad (plus it doesn't hurt so bad when your numbers are going up ;))
