Lateral deltoid ?

anthrax

I tried chin-ups with a towel

The following day it somehow hurt but I'm not sure it is the lateral deltoid ?

It looks like the lateral deltoid but closer to the elbow than the rotaor cuff

:worried:

Well, since chinups don't use the lateral deltiod....
Regular chin-ups don't

But chin-ups w/ a towel is a bit different
Tour hands almost touch each other

It seems lateral deltoid and triceps are used..... not sure though

i'd imagine that since your hands are so close togehter, your lateral delts could possibly have played a part as a stabilizer, not so much as a synergist (sp?). but i mean, if the pain is bad, or only on one side it may not be the best thing.

you probably have to use your delts to pull your elbows out to do the actual pullups. Think of it like a static hold against your own body. Your lats are pulling down on your elbows while you pull away to let your elbows clear your sides.
