Last day of work today...

I promised myself I wouldn't cry, but I did get teary eyed anyway. They gave us all a bottle of champagne & earlier this week we all got a bouquet of flowers delivered to us as well as one of those decorated cookie bouquets.

I packed up the whole supply room this week for the move. Cleaned & purged the office & did a lot of work for them. They gave me some $$ for my trouble.

The manager of the office who doesn't like me actually said some nice things & gave me a hug.

I have to go in next week cuz they are having people come in to pick up the office equipment, etc however no one else will be there -- so I'm not counting that as "work."

So, now you guys on here have me all to yourselves!! Yay!! LOL

Nope -- I'm gonna take the severance till it's all used up!! 66% of my weekly salary for 104 weeks.....

Well, I'm not on layoff status until June.....but I get paid my regular salary till June 1......the new office is opening on May 3, so I'm not needed literally in the office but am considered "on call." Not a bad gig IMO....

Nope, I was the better person & told people good bye & good luck, Hope it all works out for you in NJ, etc etc......even tho they F'd me regularly, I kept my head and was polite.....

Oh and a lot of people aren't able to live on 66% of their salary, most of those who left are saying that they can't live on that....I've arranged our finances so that we can live off that....

They would deduct 80% of the salary from the severance I get....not worth getting another job right away IMO....
