L Glutamine during cycles?

Who here likes this supplement? I can never get a straight answer. Some say it's the best and they feel a marked difference and others say it's a waste of money. Which is it, if you partake in very intense weight training?

I know from reading past studies that it is indeed used in medicine with burn vitims and such, so it must have a place where recovery under stress is important


Usefull or useless?

don't know if the pump is from glutamine or other things if ya know what i mean. i do know that i have been using glutamine for 2 years and haven't been sick since i started.
 
mostly in post workout shakes and some times in pre workout shake. Its worth it.
 
I use 10G before and after every workout, AST has the powdered form its cheap. Its suppose to help your body utilize free proteins instead of feeding on your stored proteins ie. muscle when your in a catabolic state such as finishing an intense workout.
 
hey man, only 2g of glutamine can increase GH levels by 400%. so that means that it also helps burn fat and build muscle. nothin' wrong with that.

GLUTAMINE The most prevalent free amino acid in muscle, glutamine is necessary for many vital physiological functions, including digestion, recovery and enhancing immune function. Weight training and other forms of exercise can deplete glutamine, forcing your body to pull amino acids from muscle tissue. Supplementing with glutamine provides your body with aminos it needs for recovery without depleting its stores. The overall effects are to spare muscle tissue and allow you to build even more.


Recommendation Glutamine can be taken throughout the day. We recommend consuming it first thing in the morning, between meals, after training and before bed. The average dosage at each of these times should be about 5 g. Overall, you should take 15-25 g per day...

I saw somewhere else that you should use Peptides like the Glutamine doesn't have to compete with everything else (protein etc).
 
Yep, Glutamine is great bro.
It seems like I recoup alot faster from heavy workouts when Im using it.
 
Does Designer Protein have enough Glutamine peptides in it or should I add more?

I'm not sure exactly how much it has cuz I can't decipher the label description.
