Ever since I did my first cycle I've been bigger and I couldn't be happier about that. I only have one complaint: my knees. I guess your knees know how much weight you're "supposed" to be carrying on your frame b/c I never had knee problems until after I did my first cycle and gained like 20 lbs in 10 weeks. Now I can't even jog without them hurting. That kind of sucks. I no longer feel "athletic." Anybody else have a similar problem? Any suggestions? Lose weight right lol?

Msw for joint pain and also wrap you knees when you do squats,

Yes I have knee pain also just in my left knee, tore the cartildge skiing

My shins get bad when i run so i stick to the cross trainer. Try some glucosamine, should help with the joints.

There could be many problems. I would assume that given most BBer routines that your quads are most likely overdeveloped relative to your hamstrings. This is true for 90% of BBer types but may or may not be true in your individual case. Nevertheless I will explain so you get the idea.

The development of muscle around the knee and legs is absolutely crucial. My outer quad was overdeveloped enough that we thought I had cartlidge damage for a time - it was actually pulling the kneecap laterally and inflaming the patella tendon. This resulted in further imbalance where running was difficult and then descending stairs. As I've corrected this problem all of these abilities have improved.

I would begin incorporating good mornings - work up to decent weight - as a primary hamstring/glut exercise. You'll find this transfers directly to your squat which will enable you to utilize more hamstring in that movement- thereby working to eliminate any imbalance. Light work on the leg extension (I would never use this piece of crap if it wasn't for rehab) has also helped iron out imbalances on the lower quads by pointing the toe in a proper direction to work the weaker side.

Altering your stance on squats may also help - if you are a narrow squatter, go wide for a time to bring balance. Sumo deads are also advantageous for this.

Many problems result from improper balance of our muscles resulting from weight training or activity. These imbalances can intensify and cause further problems if left uncorrected (I am living proof).

I just had Knee surgery to correct chronic Quadracep tendon inflamation, as well as some other probles. The tendonitis I feel was partially due to my AS use- Weight gain, plus an increased training load due to accelerated recovery times. My training regimine for my sport is 80% legs, so I most likely just put too much stress on the tendon in too litle time. Watch your training load, and be sure to incorporate adequate rest...if it is just inflamation, this should usually help.

My next cycle will include GH which will hopefully leave my conective tissues in a much better state than they are in right now.

Thanks for the replies bros. I do squat and have been for many years... I have genetically pretty good leg (both quad and ham) development so I don't think it's that. I think I just need to lose some weight... I'm at a disgusting 20%bf so I figure if I drop 15-20 lbs the knee probs will probably go right away. Karma for all.

Oh and MadCow1... Jai Hind...
