knee hurts. What does this mean?

When I squat my left knee starts to hurt as I get heavier. I warm up a lot and I start off really light but it still hurts as i do more sets. it doesn't hurt any other time. Only when i lift.

So, I'm just wonderin what this could be and what to do about it?


Also, right shoulder hurts when i bench or do military press. Same question as well for this.

Could just be that you're lifting too much and its putting too much stress on your joints...or your joints are weaker than your muscles, i.e. your muscles can take the load, but your joints can't...that usually happens when you're on the juice....at least it happens with me...
 
I have had a lateral release surgery where my knee cap is not in line. Whenever I go to heavy my knees also hurt when squating. I would suggest going to your doctor and get it checked out. You could worsen the problem if it is not taken care of.

I also get shoulder pain in my rotor cuff while benching. I found that doing rotor cuff excercises before I bench helps quite a bit. Google rotor cuff excercises.

Good luck bro just be carefull because pain means your body is telling you not to do that.
 
Thx for the replies. I'm gonna google those rotator cuff exercises right now. I have not benched in a month or done anything besides back excercises so my rotator cuff can heal. My buddy has the same problem with his rotator cuff. This seems to be a very common problem with bb's.
