Knee brace and cycle

Didn't go to the doc yet, but I got me a knee brace to help me get around easier. Been out since friday because of this and sitting at home reading/posting in C&C....took the entire week off.

Going to the doc on Fri. and I know he's gonna tell me it needs to be fixed with surgery...I can just feel it. Well, I'm not gonna be able to do anything until I get back from my next field assignment which is from the 5th of July until the 25th, so do I continue my cycle even though I can't even lift properly? I tried doing a simple dumbbell workout at home today and it was extremely uncomfortable bending down and trying to pick up weights putting it all on one leg. This really sucks bro's. Please help. I'm trying to keep as level of a head as possible but it's just disappointing.

If it were a simple muscle injury I 'might' suggest staying on (as the AS WILL help THAT kind of injury heal faster :))

But a connective tissue injury of any kind actually has an INCREASED risk of more damage while on cycle, imo :o
Since you will be lifting heavier weight while on and alot of guys have the tendency to train harder while on, I think the risk is INCREASED :(

If you think the injury will keep you from training at full strength for WEEKS then I would probably discontinue this cycle and regroup for when you are healthy enough to train at full capacity :)

Yo Jack, broham, how extensive is your injury? Can you bend the knee? Does it pop at all like the first time it happened? You may be able to do upper body lifts and hit the elliptical. Dude, as for the gear, if you can do what I mentioned prior, I would continue. If not, start pct. Good Luck broham. Keep us posted!!!

Whajyadotoyerknee? What kinda injury is it? I've had three knee surgeries in 12 years, they were all the result of a bad fall I took.

Still have a few knee probs but I just have to deal with it. Surgery is easy, recovery can be longer depending on what you have done but since yer a muscle head it should be faster. I didn't do rehab at all on my last surgery.

If yer doc says you need to have surgery...then definitely do it. In a few months it'll be behind you and you'll be glad you did it.

If you have any questions about the surgery make sure you ask your surgeon. Pester him to death. My first surgeon didn't communicate with me at all and I was a lil intimidated to ask. The other surgeon was very free with info and gladly answered all of my questions.

Nowadays knee surgery is almost always arthroscopic with no scars and you leave the same day. Right after the surgery you'll feel NO pain at all..that's the morphine they shoot into yer knee...it'll last about a day or so. Also, I was awake for my first surgery and have pictures from all three. If yer into doing that then ask if you can remain awake, or at least ask yer Doc fer a few pix!

As bad as it feels, physically and mentally, right now..it WILL get better.
