Kidney Pain

Anyone ever get kidney pain from too much creatine? I'm taking maybe 15 grams/day. I'm also taking 25 mcg T3/day, mulitvitamin, Sesapure, Glucorell, and AIFM 1 pump/day. I will have it checked out soon if it worsens.

I read this online:

Kidney pain is usually felt as a pain in the side of the trunk of the body between the upper abdomen and the back. This is sometimes called flank pain. Kidney pain associated with the passing of kidney stones or from acute bladder infections are usually only felt on one side of the body.

This is where its getting a little sore, it bothered me Monday, then nothing until tonight.

make sure you are taking milk thistle or some type of liver detox... I like to take 750-100mg of sylarium (milk thistle) a day

I don't there are any legit reports that I know of to support it at normal doses. But hey if you were already having kidney problems before that or got HTN maybe not a good idea or at least see your doc and get some labs done to check it out if in doubt.

Coming back a few hours later I'm fine. It's weird that I've had pain in the same spot for a few hours sporadically over the last few days. I have a dr's appt at the end of next week, I'll ask to see whats up. Thanks for your help.

hi bros.....water is not going to slove this problem....do not wait until it worsens go and check it out .....kidney is a one way organ man .....btw i have a high level of creatinine even when i was taking creatine i used to cycle it but now few months ago i didn't use it ..i am still have 600 mg of it..........go and do some checks please...peace

hi there taking creatine will not give you bad kidneys if you take to much
you will just s.h.i.t it out thats all i have bin on creatine for 2 years on and off
had no problems it maybe something else you are taking ok mate

too much creatine, too much protein, not enough water.

if you were taking purecee unless over 250lbs you would be taking maximum of 4-5 caps (high end dosing) thats only 2.8 to 3.5 grams. And that is not creatine monohydrate much of which becomes creatinine which places more strain on the liver AND increases bloat (and thus actual water needs).

High protein diet (which pretty much describes EVERYONE on this site, necessitates a higher water intake)

you should be drinking AT LEAST 1 liter per 30lbs of bodyweight (and using less/better creatine)

Kidney is a two-way organ bro. One of the ways it regulates BP!

Just to reemphasize some of the replies above - if it contiues to hurt see a doc. Delaying a health check up is never good.

Also make sure youget at least one physical a year. I get two with full blood panels.

Good luck!

I had similiar pains last cycle. They started in about wk 2 of cycle. I attributed it to the dbol and decided to stop it. Pains went away. Like you said the pains weren't always there, they were intermintent. But when they came you knew it, it was like your insides just ache like crazy. My water intake was very high also.
