New member
I have been trying well, lets be honest my entire life, to be on a schedule, I try and try and maybe everything is ok for a few days but something comes up and boom Im off schedule again and everything suffers. the two important things right now, school and working out! I waste time and allow lil' things to foul me up. I mean there is always going to be something, how can I get on a good schedule?? I eat right and exercise one day and blow it for three and then it just goes on that way.........help! Any advice on not be a time waster and setting a schedule?

Ahhhhh........Now I'm beginning to see the picture. Sounds like the attacks could be a psych related issue.

The thing to remember about the "healthy lifestyle" is that it is just that - a lifestyle. If getting to the gym doesn't fit your schedule, you won't do it. If its a pain in the ass to eat 6 times /day, you won't do it. It definitely requires planning ahead and spending some time thinking about how you can guarantee that you will make time.

And its like anythign else - if you WANT to do it, you will make time for it. IF you don't, you won't.

In the extreme, a number of people have said that bodybuilding is the ultimate sport, because EVERYTHING you do affects your results. You can't just train hard and toss the diet and expect to see results. You can't even be 100% clean 90% of the time. You are 100%, 100% of the time - everything you do that deviates from 100% is that much more you either won't have at show time, or that much more that you will have to do by show time. And sometimes you can't even play catch up. You either do it 100% or you just don't.

I guess the comparison is, do you want good teeth? Well, you make time to brush every day right? Same idea.

To be fit you gotta be a PLANNER!! No way around it. You have to figure out when...where and how you are going to workout and go from there. Fix your meals ahead of time...keeps you from cheating and not havin what you need to eat. Get into a routine and stick w/ it. Keep your schedule consistent. I always fix my food on sundays..and then maybe 1 day during the week...put them in the fridge and they are ready to go. I plan around my school and work...always pack food w/ me...never know if I get caught somewhere and need to eat...You should write out a "TO DO LIST" and check off as you go. Do it DAILY...and start mentally setting your mind to that pace instead of wasting time..Organization is a good thing too....Get a planner and start writing out what you need to do...when to eat..what to eat and when to train etc...I tell clients at my clinic to set an appointment in their planners like they would for a doctor appt and so on. It has to be a priority to you!!!!!!

Ok

I sat myself down and wrote down everything wrong with my diet and exercise and gave myself a goal to do everything as I should and would like to be doing for 2 weeks straight if I can accomplish that then I know Ill be able to do it, if not well then I dont know!
