What's the message you are getting? Unfortunatly if you formatted your hard drive with NTFS you can not go back to FAT. You can go from FAT to NTFS but not other way around. I have a win 2k machine. I am pretty sure I formatted it with NTFS and I can run Kazaa without a problem.
Karma's not necessary. If I can help you it'll be my pleasure.
signed in as admin after logging off, re-tried it and still nothing. says i uninstalled a vital part of kazaa and i need to re-install it error 1030. ive done this and it doesnt help.
on kazaas website, it say the thing about needing an admin and using the paritioning as the reason for this. would i have to sign in to msn for it to work? cause the admin icon is the same as my MSN IE icon.
if not lite, use kazaa lite instead as there is no spyware in that version. Try installing that and see if you have the same problem during the install
im using kazaa lite. i used to be able use the regular kazaa, then i tried to log on one day and it stopped working. my luck is one of those hotfixs for xp fucked it up.
It sounds like you used AdAware or something, and removed one of the ad components.
I installed Kazaa Lite once, and it wouldn't connect to anything. I had to install Kazaa, then remove it, then install Lite, or some other convoluted process to get it to work.
The last time I rebuilt my system, I just said to hell with it, and put regular Kazaa on there.
No you should not have to sign on on MSN. Did you go to add/remove programs to uninstall Kazaa before reinstalling it? When was the last time you updated Windows XP?
I did some research for you. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to try and find an older version of Kazaa lite and reinstall that. Good luck.
the problem sounds just like project says, did u run spybot, adaware or any other spyware removal software? this 9/10 times causes Kazaa not to function because it lacks the ads and such, and i think kazaa lite has been having some issues with connecting with the servers.
