Karma question - please read (legit)

Why is it that when some people give me Karma, I get multiple points (anywhere from 5-10 or so), and with others I only get 1 or 2 points?

Also, how do I know how many points I give out when I give Karma?

I always try to be nice and spread it around every day, but I'd feel terrible knowing that someone is hitting me with 10 points and I'm only giving them 1 point. I feel like a slacker being around for as long as I have and my Karma giving blows.

It depend how many points the other people have some people around here hit for over 30 points only way to tell how much you hit for is to hit someone and ask them.
