K9 and gear

Anyone know if K9 drug-hounds can sniff gear, especially I suppose tablet types?

I see those dogs at NY Kennedy all the time. So if traveling domestically...??

Depends on what the dog is trained for. Even if the narcotics dog is right infront of coke, yet wasn't trained to sniff it out, then it goes without notice.

I'm going through the hiring process right now for a department, and I haven't had that much exposure, but so far I've never heard of gear sniffing dogs. I suppose it would be possible, but to put all that time and money into training, probably not.

If its tablets the dogs might be able to find them

Vials, no way they can find them, except maybe for a high alcohol content<
in rare occasion that be be perceived as something else

I don't know about tablets but I don't believe dogs can sniff injectables as long as they are sealed. I have a "friend" who has come through customs and had 3 seperate dogs sniff through his car and they didn't hit on shit. He had a bunch of Sust, Deca, and Winny and the dogs passed passed it by
