Congrats on winning the most gold medals in the sports/games the world cares least about.

Most people in the US don't care about professional hockey, let alone alone Olympic hockey unless we're competing against a Cold War enemy. Just sayin.'

In the last fifteen years of my life I have known two people that have followed hockey seriously.

1. My college roomie that was from the Detroit suburbs and loved the Red Wings, I mocked him when they lost in the first round to the worst team in hockey (Mighty Ducks) as the best team in hockey.

2. A chick my best friend dated that liked to brag about dating/banging a Red Wings player that was a bencher.

Hockey is more interesting to Americans than soccer but if they eliminated the fights it would be just as interesting as soccer to most Americans.
