I just downloaded all 4 ALien movies. My GF hadnt seen nr 3 and after watching AvP I felt I had to see a real alien movie again. Its amazing btw how different the movies are, very good that they dont just copy the older movie and add more of everything. Think I have seen all alien movies like 5 times now, exept the last one. Gonna see that one tonight, just finished nr 3 last night.

Alien 3 Claustrophobia helpless horror
Alien 4 Alot like nr 2 if I remember correct but with Superhuman Ripley
Used to think nr 3 was total crap when I was younger. Thought it was very good now tho when I saw it. Guess I knew what to expect this time and looked at the movie in a different way.

theyre all very good flicks, esp number 1, imo. it was the best one, and not just for the novelty...it was just really, really well done.
number 2 was also very good, except that they really, really could have used a military adviser on the set to help with scene design and overall tactics - its not terribly immersive when the crack fighting unit in the year 2300 sends a mexican chick with a 5 foot long gun on point in a bunch of small rooms.
number 3 was good, love the way they killed characters off and let new ones rise to the top. number 3 probably better than number 2 as a film imo
number 4 had the potential to be one of the best, imo, but they screwed it all up with ressurrecting ripley, complete with memories etc...very very thin, totally ruined it for me, personally. still, good flick
personally i think they could make a really, really good alien 5 if they went back to basics...its just a concept that doesnt get old, and theres so much room to move with the plot...hopefully the new interest in the alien universe will spawn a new film in each individual universe

Alien (the first) remains the scariest movie I ever saw at the theatre. And when Universal Studio had it with the 'Black Box' set ... holy shit!
Lots of smoke and fog machines, the deck of the ship and dead mutilated corpses everywhere. Sparks flying and strobe lights. Little super fast Alien babies comming for ya and then the big mother fucker himself! I fucking ran out of there at full speed right behind the rest of my 12 man group (pussies left me alone, of course I ran with the bitch comming at me). So did everyone else all day long. Must have hung around the exit and seen 2000 of the 10,000 people who literally ran out of the exposition at full tilt.
Best amusement ride evah!

I have the entire quadrilogy w/ direct's cuts. Got it as a gift. Yeah the 2nd one is pretty intense.

Alien.. An all time Classic. Scary due to lots of dark searches
Aliens.. Cool spec effects. Great Dialog. Vasques was cool
Alien3.. dark and depressing
Alien4.. Hottie Judd and Ripley wearing Super lift shoes.
All the failed Ripleys scene was cool.
Best line from all 4 movies IMO.. Aliens
