Just Hit A Vein......wow

u read about it all the time but when it happens it still takes you by surprise.....My GF was shooting my glut and when the pin went in it hurt / felt weird and i twitched alot when it went in.

Next thing i know she is freeking out, she pulled out the needle and there were huge bubbles of blood that shot into the barell when she pulled back, she pulled it out right away too. It looked like a lava lamp witht he blood in it.

Anyway I just put a new pin on it and shot again and it went smooth.......Is it bad to reshoot blood back in ? ? I have always read to just pick a new spot and reshoot so thats what i did.

Anyway I guess the moral is to ASPIRATE...

Happened to me many of times. I don't bother changing the pin though, I just plunge it in a diff spot.

It's an odds thing...if you just stick the same pin in somewhere
else, you can't tell if you are hitting another vein....you're prob
not, but switching pins IS safer.

Switching the pin really doesn't matter. The problem you may run into is if you aspirated a lot of blood into a relatively small amt of drug. The problem is you may not be able to tell if you hit another vein because a positive aspiration may be masked by the blood in the syringe. You can do a couple of things: add some more gear to dilute the blood or worse, commit drug abuse and throw it out. If I get a pos asp at work I throw the carpule of anasthetic out but that's different. No one ever wants to throw good gear away.

Its fine right now i have that same old sus knot. Nothing new

23 G 1 1/2 I use to use a 22 1 1/2 and I think switching to the 23 makes a huge difference.

been there, I pulled the needle outta my as$ and a stream of blood shot out. It ruined my sheets , my ass became balck and blue around the inec sight. It looked like i was getting hit by a paddle or something

btw- bicept inject that is ballsey I have never moved from the glutes. I think next time around when i am not using sus i might try some new sights. Not the bi's yet though........

It might not matter to switch the pin but i am a sterile freek when it comes to this shi* so I just switched the pin. She pulled out so fast that that the barrell did not completely fill. There were just huge balls of blood suspended in the oil....It looked like a lava lamp. There was no way i was throwing that out it would have been to pianfull

Anyway off to do some big shoulders.....up to 196 from 183 and looking for 200. Thanks for the replys ASPIRATE is my lesson learned
