Just got my 4gF kit...quick question

In both the Majic solution, and the other vial with the oil, there looks to be a few tiny fibers floating around.

Is this normal? I'm assuming it will just get filtered out?

Its not normal, but if you can see it it will be cought by the sterile filter.

I wouldnt worry about it if it were mine.

That's definately not normal. I'd be VERY cautious if I were you. In fact, I'd probably not use it. If you'd like, you can send it to me. I'll take it for the next 7 weeks, and let you know how it goes. That way, if it causes an infection, then I'll be the one who gets it, and you'll feel better. :D

Realistically though, I've never seen any in mine, but I wouldn't worry about it. As Fina Master Zyg stated, it will be cleared out with the filter.

Thanks guys :)

One other question (prolly not the last though :)).....how do you go about getting the pellets into the vial with the majic solution? Is it ok to touch the pellets and drop them in by hand? Or just empty them in a sheet of paper and funnel them in?

The top of the cart has little flexible plastic fingers holding the pellets in, you should be able to just push them through from the bottom with a toothpick. Handling them isnt really a big deal either, just make sure to wash you hands and work area thuroughly. Once again the sterile filters job is to filter out all things over .45 microns which is most bacteria etc.

another question :)

Whats the easiest way to transfer the oil to the vial with the majic solution? Just pour it in? The vials have a small neck...hope I don't spill it trying to get it in there.

I just pour it in. If your real concerned, you should be able to get a small funnel just about anywhere though.

Zyg,

You posted on Triedia "boil water, remove pan from heat and place vial containing magic, dissolved pellets and oil in water for roughly 7-10 minutes. This will cause a layer of gunk to settle on the bottom."

Do you recap the vial prior to placing it in the water?

thanks again for you help.

Do you recap the vial prior to placing it in the water?
Obviously the water level should not be over the top of the vial, so capping doesnt really matter. It also depends on the vial you have. For a while A did not have the nice rubber stoppers and was sending out sterile sealed vials. If thats what you havem dont bother putting the rupper septum back on the bottle, it will juts shoot off during the heating since they dont seat very deap in the vial. If you have the nice rubber stopper, you can put it in or leave it off doesnt really matter.

No, I knew not to have the water level over the top of the vial. I was just worried about water condensing on the inside of the vial when placed in the hot water. My vial has the easy pull off rubber stopper.

Recap?

Well, you can, but if you do you risk the top getting "popped off" during heating. If you keep the cap off, you risk like dropping something in the top and contaminating it ... small risk, but its there.

I think the safest is to heat the water, take that off the stove, then place the vial into the water. You can just drape a tissue over the vial top.

Also, I dont like the idea of placing the vial into a pan and placing the pan on direct heat ... especially with a metal pan. I dont know why, but I just dont.

I think its best to get like a glass, or platsic container, put water in that and heat that in the mcrowave until it boils. Pull THAT out of the 'wave, and then place the vial in there. JUST MAKE SURE that the water is enough to surround a good portion of the vial but NOT enough to spill into the vial's top! (Test that while the water is cool).

One thing, after heating, let the vial sit and cool ..... and let it SIT a long time to seperate. Seriously. Dont get over-anxious, if you can let it sit overnight, do it. That way the gunk will setlle better, the line between the gunk and non-gunk layers wil be more distinct, filtering will be easier, the filter will have less chance of clogging, etc.

Of course I have never done this, its all hypthetical ,,, a friend told me. Yeah yeah, thats it.

Ok, I just got done heating it for 10 minutes and I have 3 layers...white, then brown, and then goldish.

A's directions say to swirl or stir after removing from the heat? Should I go ahead and do that? Or just let it set and layer on its own?

3 layers?

I have only seen 2 myself. Hm, .....

Anyone want to help this guy out?

Most of the printed directions suck IMHO. If you know what you are doing already they seem fine, they "make sense", its the scenario of "I know what I MEANT to say", a common situtaion when someone whop already knows hopw to do something writes directions or a manual.

But place the ingredients in front of most people with ONLY the printed directions and see what happens sometime.

L.O.L. That's some funny shit!!!!!!!

Yeah, this is wierd.

Sometimes (or maybe some KITS) end uyp with 2 layers, and some have 3.

With 3 - do you filter just the top layer? The top 2 layers?

I dont know what to tell ya.

I'm supposed to filter everything except the white gunk on the bottom.

Here's another problem though. "A" sent two 30ml vials for the final product to be stored in....so about 25ml in each vial. I don't know how the heck I'm going to get the same potency in each vial....I mean, if the final product where going into one vial it wouldn't be a problem. But since I'm filtering it in layers, and into two diff vials, I really don't know how I'm going to make each vial equal in strength.
