Just Got Blood Test Back...Doc Was Concerned?

I had a blood test for work NOT DRUG TEST, and the Dr. called me in today, he was concerned about my Platelet Count which was 446 and also my Monocytes Count which was 1,292...These were both really abnormal.....He asked if I have been sick and I said yes,,,He just wants to keep an eye on it...What does this mean? I have been ON for about 1 year without a break....Blood Pressure was perfect and so was pulse...

You should be asking your doc these questions and be totally honest with him. I tell my doc everything. IMO I would take a break from the gear for two to three months and then get another blood test. Good luck bro.

RICKW...After my 3 Month long Competition at Temps this summer, then I plan on taking 3 weeks off...Of course I will have clomid & nolv. on hand...

Definately, tell him you have been using if they do not get better. I would have him check all of you liver enzymes.

The monocytes count is usually abnormal after a sickness. So if you have been sick then that could be normal. but be safe.

Monocytes make up a small %(2-8%) of your White Blood Cells. There are many things that will elevate WBC's, but definitely increase when you are sick because they fight infection. They also increase when under stress, physical activity, and dehydration. Drugs such as steroids and asprin will increase WBC's too.
Therefore, the culmination of these things could be causing this.

Living in high altitudes, strenuous exercise, increased estrogen levels will increase the total platelet count. The high range is 415.

Basically, ditto what rickw says....tell your doc and take a break from use.
