i just recently acquired one of those deli slicers. it isn't one of those real good ones, just a cheap, plastic, piece of shit, but it works pretty well.

anyhow, i went to SAM'S and they had some of those whole deli-style turkey breasts on sale. i got an 8.5lb deli-style turkey breast for $14.20 (it was like a super sale or something). so i have been shaving and eating turkey non-stop. i even made my favorite deli sandwich, which i have not had since i moved from NJ.

'Big Tom'

1 foot long hero roll, stuffed with shaved (not sliced) turkey, covered with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, a few strips of bacon, salt/pepper, and thousand island dressing. (normally i hate thousand island dressing, but it goes great on this sandwich).

i didnt shave the whole thing...probably only 2 lbs of it. the leftovers i wrapped up and put in the freezer. it should keep. right?

I have a deli slicer. I've cut slices so thin, I couldn't even see them.

That's pretty thin. I use mine to even up the heels on my shoes from time to time. I even use it to open some letters.

I use mine to mold my legs after ssme's.

Hey...it's 1/3 of the "right in your face, up front, out in the open gay triumverate".

I know, but I just can't get accustomed to your self degredation, so I'll continue to call you HG. Besides, latin women make my pee-pee feel funny.

I use mine to slice meat thin enough to slide under my neighbours door to feed their cat.

With setup and cleanup, slicers are more trouble than they're worth. Once the novelty wears off, it'll be on the shelf forever and you'll be back to using a carving knife.

nah, it's so much better than using a knife. i dont like thick cuts of meat for sandwhiches. i shave my turkey so thin, it comes out in clumps. it's the way to go

If you're still using it in two weeks, I'll give you a dollar. :)
