Just found out my ASVAB score.

My overall AFQT score was a 99 and all my line scores fell somewhere between a 131-135. I guess I'm pretty well suited for the military.

hopefully this will give me a decisive edge for my OCS package.

I got an 81 on mine, and still don't know how the fuck they cam up with that score.

It's all good bro. I know it's not an intelligence test. Plus, I've got a bachelor's degree plus mechanical knowlege from previous Air Force experience. I had all training and education to do well on the test.

Well God Damn then, I'll brag, too. When I was 17 I got a 99 and a GT of 155. They offered me West Point . The Navy found out about me and offered me Nuclear propulsion and Naval Acadeemy. The Air Force offered me Their Academy too but I never considered or saw them. I passed on all of them and made the right choice. Now I'm an average nobody. Good luck if you go for it, man.

Good score, especially at that age. I remember the Navy calling me for years after high school trying to get me into Nuke School. They pissed me off so bad that I ended up yelling at the guy one night in front of my family. I was in college, had long hair and a beard and DIDN'T want to fucking hear about the goddamn Navy and don't fucking call again!!!!!

Less than a year later I was in the Air Force. Class, can you say "irony"?

Nuclear Propulsion is Nuke School. The Navy told me I was smart enough to be sent to the Naval Academy to be a Physicist. At 17 they told me they wanted me to cruise around subs for months at a time keeping tabs on a reactor. Notta, Slick, I'm outta here........

it is mandatory, and think of it as a watered down SAT type test.

The Army offered me some signing bonus of over 20 grand. The Navy called me, but I told them I wasn't interested.

The Marine Corps said "I'm not gonna make you any promises but the following: You'll get the job you want b/c you scored good. You'll be a Marine, you'll go to Parris Island for bootcamp, and a ship out date. Now you may get a bonus or something, but that has to be looked into. I refuse to blow smoke up your ass, and try to buy you to join my Corps. If money is what it take for you to select a branch, then I don't want you in my Corps."

ASVAB is a mandatory test. Some MOS's require you to score a certain number in order to be qualified.
