shit was good ya'll....even though my dad stole a king prawn off me....that wasabi reminds me of myself.....smoking hot :p
 
Japonica in NY. Not the most uptown cutters, but you can eat like a fucking king for the price of only one kidney.

Yamashiro on fifth is the shit. If you go sit at the bar and ask for Utaka. He is THE man, and a Master Cutter. He can make giant clam, fish cake and salmon roe look just like a vagina...

Just went to town on two salmon skin handrolls, 2 pieces unagi, tobiko with quail egg and boston insideout roll with mustard seeds. Topped with Green tea and, of course, massive wasabi torture.

Holy Fucking Mouthgazm!

good thing about me is, i just love food. so long as theres seaweed, i can wrap taht fake crab tasting seafood highlighter up and its a feast

not a fan of wasabi though...tastes like petrol. the first time i ate it, i put on far too much thinking it was mild, and with the initial choke forced some up my nose and into my sinus...that stuff burned like hell and destroyed all sense of taste for ages

I get my sushi cheap.

I routinely eat 1/2 a pound of raw salmon sashimi with wasabi+soy for around US$9. It comes with tea and some rice or noodles and veggies. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I like eating octopus sushi, tuna sushi, white fish, I forget all the names - I pretty much like it all. Japanese food has some funny textures but I like it.
 
tuc will eat anything, i dunno why he needed to make a sushi thread.

i havn't had sushi yet cept for once at the chinese buffet up the road, but it was shit, so it doesn't count. wouldn't mind trying good stuff. i like pretty much all shellfish, i'm picky about fish though.

i'll need a "tour guide" for my first real sushi adventure, otherwise i'd prolly be turned off forever.

and wasabi.... :p :p :p love the initial "nose hairs melting like i just snorted toxic waste" feeling.
 
what did you eat tuc? i like the tuna, snapper, sea eel, and salmon. only thing i didnt like was sea urchin, veryyyyyyyyyyyyy nasty, worse than kitty could ever taste
