I wanted to take a quick moment to share something with some of the newer folks out there.
We all know how important it is to drink water. But what a lot of the newer individuals fail to realize is that the human muscle is primarily made up of water, nearly 75% so. Additionally, those of you looking to burn body fat need to realize that water will work as the best form of dietetic out there. The more you consume the more you will lose as well as the benefits water offers for cleaning your system and flushing fat.
My point is that it is very important that you keep your water intake up. I am willing to bet that many of you will read this and say "I'm good". Keep a log for a day or a week. Find out how much water you are actually drinking. If you are less than 1 gallon, which most of us are, try to set a goal for that.
Why? Because if you want to grow or lose you need to have fluid in your body to do this. Starving the muscle for anything whether protein or water is not a good approach.
When you are doing you log pay close attention to the amount of coffee, diet soda, juices etc that you take in. The big key will be to limit those and replace them with nice clean water.
This is just a thought but I'm willing to bet my left nut that most of the newer folks and a lot of those who have been around the block are not taking in enough.
