the MAX-OT program i think will be good for me.

As long as you focus on picking decent compound lifts and improving them over time whilst eating to grow you should be fine.As long as your lifts and bodyweight are going up you will be fine.

yea right now im just focusing on the big 4

overhead press
deadlift
squat
bench

i kinda wanna cut a lil, im at 185, 5"10 and not fat but i have a little extra weight i could get rid of and some stretch marks near my hips

Honestly, if you're still fairly new to lifting, you'd probably be better served just focusing on those compound lifts rather than worrying about all the isolation stuff Max OT has in addition to them.

Take a look at this thread for a basic routine that BiggT made up, and also give some consideration to the Rippetoe 3x5 in the sticky.

Here's a link about why the rationale behind Max OT's "once per week rule" is simplistic: http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4776914&postcount=386

If you decide to do something higher volume and isolation-heavy, perhaps consider splitting it into a two upper-body days, two lower-body days arrangement.
