i was wondering what everyone has tried and worked best for joints. lately my elbow has been killing me and really impairing my ability to lift the weights id normally be lifting and also killing my improvement strength-wise. is glucosamine as good as they say? i also drink a lot of water and take efas but i really need help on this one. karma to anyone with experiences and somewhat effective resolutions for a problem like this.

start doing pushdowns every other day with a jumpstretch band or any other large rubber band type training aid for high reps; ie 25 reps and 3 or so sets. that and take glucosamine, msm, creatine, dbol (if on), and keep up with the water intake

the band pushdowns takes care of any training related pains i usually develop from heavy benching

Check out the following writeup from somebody complaining about elbow pain, and how an 8 week course of (gasp, oh no) negatives worked for him.

Like many other people have been saying: Glucosamine, chondroitin, msm, and gelatin work, BUT, you'll have to take it for awhile first. Stay faithful with the regimen and you'll be glad you did. In the meantime, use NSAID's like Motrin to keep the inflammation down cause if it stays inflamed, it's not going to heal. Good luck, brother.

My chiro recommended getting glucosamine with chondroitin as glucosamine isn't as effective on it's own. Glucosamine helps repair the joints, but chondroitin acts as a liquid magnet to suck fluid and nutrients into them. That makes them more shock absorbent and less prone to injury. It's tempting to just get glucosamine as it's fairly cheap, but it's worth paying for one that comes with chondroitin.

My right elbow really hurts after heavy pressing movements. Now I start those days with a few sets of reverse curls for 20 reps with a light weight. Really helps me get through my workout.
