Joint Pain

Lately I have been experiencing lots of joint pain, particularly in my hips and elbows. I have been training heavier/harder lately, and so I take glucosamine/chondroitin. Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be alleviated--short of lifting lighter or less often, please.
Thanks.

I use DMSO and mix it with THERA-GESIC creme. It has helped me with some pretty intense pain in my elbow.:)

what is DMSO and where do I get some?

I get mine from a health food store. It's a solvent used in the treatment of animal joints. I know, that sounds strange, but it works.

I mix it with the creme and rub it into my joints. It burns like the devil but it works for me.

good luck.:)

Not saying that your form is wrong, but you might want to think about your movements while you are working out. A lot of people that experience the kind of pain that you are describing either lock out their limbs or tilt their pelvis and they don't even realize that it is happening.
I have a lot of information on joints and posture, if you want some PM me and I will explain more or send you what I can.

It's a really tedious process, but to fix what is causing the pain is much better for your body in the long run, as to applying cremes to temporarily make the pain the go away.

Don't dsmo leave your skin all batchie. I think it, eats away the skin layers. I know steroid users like it, to transport roids through their skin.

It leaves a red area on mine, but that goes away in less than a day. Maybe if you use it everyday it might.

G/C helped my joints feel better for 3 months from the time I started using the combo. All of a sudden, my joints began feeling worse, so I quit. After I quit, they felt better, better than before I started using the combo.

this may sound dumb, but are you warming up properly, I takes me about three sets to warmup my hips and knees. also a slower cadence and less momentum helps alleviate the shock your joints recieve.
