You see... there are things I do, ways I behave. Some things are appropriate in front of my daughter - others are not. Simple. I make those decisions as to whats appropriate without hardly a thought. Do you know how to?

Ever notice how when some people become parents, particularly if they're in a position of leadership, they start treating everyone like children? They suddenly expect the same behavior from friends and co-workers that they try to instill in their children. And use the same sorts of disciplinary techniques on employees and/or subordinates as they would use on their kids?

I think it's amusing and quaint.

No. Someone else was JH1 bashing, I was making an observation about that. I thought JH1's response, which I quoted, was appropriate, and I was reminded of the behavior of some of my managers who used to be normal until they had kids, then suddenly started treating everyone like children.

I can see that happening with me a little. Not that I treat people in a bad way, just differently. I think it's because I have kid on the brain syndrome. They're ALWAYS on your mind, and it makes you act like they're in the room.

It might be an undiscovered disease. They've taken over my mind. What I'm trying to say is my kids are smarter than me.
