Jet Boat Help

I have a 1997 Sea Doo Speedster (twin two-cycle engine)...So, my Speedster will start fine, idle fine and everything else just fine. However, once I give it throttle it will still do fine, but a little bit after I get up on plane, my left engine completely dies out (turns off). Does anybody have any idea what this could be. I was thinking it would be fuel related, but I don't even know if the boat has two fuel filters or what. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you keep the maintance up on it. 2 cycle motors need alott of up keep.
when it cuts off how does it do it? does it just die all at once or does it choke out slowly? if choking out slowly it could be a few different fuel related items. start with the easiest and track back from there. check fuel line and filters, do you backwash the system on a regular basis? if not this will cuz some problems too, you will get a backup of crap in the exhaust manafold and the motor won't breath correctly. another thing would be to check and clean out the carbs. depends on your storage habits but if it sits around for a few months of the year the carbs get fouled with dried gas and then this stuff with flake off when you run it clog the carb. fuel additives can help prevent this. decarbinize the motor once a season helps also.
