Jesse Jackson's Hypocrisy

Longhorn85

New member
Jesse is at it again. He is now going after the coach at Northwestern Univ because a black athlete died during football practice. The accident was a tragedy, and it probably should be looked into, but Jesse has not said anything that I am aware of about the death of Korey Stringer of the Minnesota Vikings, whose coach is black...

very good point....I think Since the Vikings player had millions his faimly is taken care of...I would suspect the NW players faimly will seek millions now

jesse Jacksons is a bastard who has nothing better to do but act like a deseparate morron. Period.

It's kinda hard to take someone seriously, when their only job is to be black for a living!!

Fuck that black, racist, cock sucking bastard! SOB use to spit in white peoples food whe he was younger working in South Carolina.

Yeah and I think he never should have rescued those "NON-BLACK" soldiers from Serbia either. Shoulda just left them and went to help out some football players instead. Geez...

Guess you'll catch the sarcasm there...

Jesse may be on the extreme and he can really go over board sometimes, but he has done some positive things. My biggest question is, why do all of you even care???

Toyota makes diversity deal with Jesse Jackson
LOS ANGELES (AP)

The Rev. Jesse Jackson and Toyota Motor Sales USA have reached an agreement that will prevent a boycott of the auto maker over advertisements criticized as racist, Jackson's organization said. Details will be released Thursday morning at a news conference in Chicago, where Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH organization is having its annual meeting. Rainbow/PUSH spokeswoman Keiana Peyton said Toyota executives will be at the news conference with Jackson.

"Based on our appeals and issues we brought to the table, this is the resolution," she said.

Jackson threatened a boycott of the auto maker in May after accusing Toyota of using a racist ad for its RAV4 sport utility vehicle. The ad, printed on free postcards and distributed in nightclubs, shows a close-up of a dark-skinned man's mouth with an image of a gold RAV4 on one tooth. Toyota has since discontinued the ad.

Toyota declined to confirm the agreement, but said it would announce details of its diversity strategies Thursday.

"We're optimistic about tomorrow," said Diana DeJoseph, a spokeswoman for Toyota's U.S. arm, based in Torrance, Calif.

Jackson postponed his call for a boycott in June after the giant automaker said it was in discussions with a black advertising firm and retained a consultant to make the company more diverse.

The coach was WHITE thus he was in the wrong--sue him for millions

If the coach were BLACK, then this was a tragedy.

Jesse Jackson is the biggest piece of shit on the face of the earth. (aside from Al Sharpton and every other civil rights leader)

Men (blacks) like Jesse Jackson force whites who may not actually be racist, to question their views on equality, when he calls for special treatment, as if blacks aren't worthy of competing without whites being handicapped.

Just like NOW with women in this country (which puches men), Jackson's groups push moderate whites further to the right.

Contraction

It isn't worth your time dude. None of the people posting really want things to get better. It's too easy to find something to not like about J. Jackson or any other person and rail about it, than to actually try to know what's really going on, or stop creating more problems than fixing them. It goes both ways, but as long as people choose to bitch, and be derogatory towards other races, the internet will be a place where they can bond and keep the hate alive. I've asked time and time again to the ones who constantly post to these threads to start/participate in a thread to improve race relations, offer intelligent thoughts, ideas, solutions, etc. Not to say anyone's a racist, just the fact that NONE of them are interested in stopping this immature, hate-inciting game of verbal stupidity. Everyone has a poor excuse for thinking the way they do about other people, be it fighting, or some incident that happened in the past, or present, yet in the posts, they wonder why people won't "get over it." Using the same excuses you belittle others for, is hypocrisy. Failure to actually know about the person/race you're talking about is IGNORANCE! Since 99% are either reading incidents, or have only experienced isolated experiences, you know what the intent of the post is. Call yourselves whatever you need to, if it makes you sleep better. You can only be a woman or man in the sense of the word. If you aren't willing to put aside this dumb, immature, hateful, attitude, you're no better than the people you are finding fault with. You're WORST!!

Big P B, not to take sides here, but who's to say what J. Jackson does away from the camera? Contraction offers the same thing everyone else offers on this thread.....media information. If you don't know or haven't been involved with Jackson, you are speculating, or passing on secondhand info, dude. Besides who cares? Nobody here does, including myself. If you're going to post using media comments, why not have more than one angle? Or is that all you care to see?

Jesse Jackson is the one who set himself up as a beacon of morality in America. Therefore, he deserves to be judged against his claims.

The same thing happened with Joe LIEberman. He set himself up as a moral examplar, and so he was excommunicated by a Jewish Court for betraying the ideals he claimed to have stood for.

We didn't set Jesse up for it, HE did it himself. Then he fucked himself over with his own hypocrisy.

Deserves to be judged? By who? the media? YOU?
Why you? What are you doing/have done that makes you feel like you need to judge anybody? I understand talking about people, but judging. That's for God to do. Again, since you only get your info secondhand,
as do I, who's to say what Joseph Lieberman has done? Show me some personal experience proof WeaponX...you got the same thing everybody else has media information..... NOTHING

Calm down, bud.
LIEberman claimed all kinds of things about Judaism. I heard him claim that Jewish Law allowed intermarriage. Did you catch that? I heard him. He refused to admit that he had misrepresented Judaism this and many other times. He claimed to be an Orthodox Jew. This is on record, and he does not dispute this. As someone who know a whole heckuva lot about Jewish Law, I can confirm that he misrepresented Judaism to the American people on many occasions.

Apparently the Orthodox Beit Din (Jewish Court of Religious Law) agrees with me, as he was excommunicated. DO you know how RARE it is for a Jew to be excommunicated?

Why can I judge Jesse? Because he has set himself up as a public figure to be judged. That's why. Anyone who lives in the limelight has put themself in that position. Especially anyone who claims the moral high ground for himself.
I'll bet you're willing to judge cops who violate the law, aren't you?

WX, I don't judge cops, JJ, or anybody, I'm trying to get myself right dude.......nobody's perfect....seems like so many people waste so much time commenting on others...I don't know enough about Jackson to judge him or anybody else....just wanted to know how and when he claimed this moral high ground. since you have inside info.....I'm listening to you, and your posts....nothing more.

The CIRCUS guy, I believe his name was P.T. Barnum(sp?) said something to the effect “there is no such thing as bad publicity”.

That is what Jessie lives off of. has to have his name in the light so idiots will think he is doing something and send him money.

Yep....it's all about the media/exposure. Money

gymnpoppa: By observing his actions, speeches, etc., we can all tell that Jackson does not particularly like white people, and that he is immoral. I can judge (or, if you don't like that word, I can logically deduct) that I do not have any respect for him, therefore whatever good he has done is outweighed by his lack of an ethical base.

And, how else can one "judge" a large group of people, or a community, other than by interpreting the experiences they have with said person(s)??

I admit, I am more racist now than I was a year ago...Why, you ask? Because last semester, I took an African American Literature class. I was expecting to come out with more of an open mind, but due to my professor's overt hatred of everything white, and her constant emphasizing of said hatred, either by citing absurd, outdated examples, or by pulling modern examples straight out of her...well, ass in my opinion, I now see the hypocrisy and ludicrousy of men like Jackson, who need blacks to feel like they are second-class...Just like Democrats need Americans to feel powerless (hence, they NEED THEIR HELP!), so do leaders like Jackson NEED blacks to feel weak...

The black community has not had a forward thinking leader since Martin Luther King, Jr.

I believe that if Malcolm X had lived longer, along with Dr. King, race relations would not be what they are today. These men were reaching a common ground, yet both were murdered for their beliefs.

Until the black community has a strong, moral leader; one who will not just sit back and speak absurd rhetoric, but a man like Booker T. Washington, or his colleagues, who will tell blacks to stand on their own two feet--and give up the VICTIM ROLE--will blacks truly make progress...Because progress has stopped my friend. I don't believe their has been any progress as far as race relations go (but their has been much to divide us) for the last 5, 10, maybe 15 years.

I'm not talking bills in Congress, or pacts between companies and Rainbow/Push, but MORAL, ETHICAL, AND PRACTICAL PROGRESS!!!!!

contraction, all those foreign jobs are all fine and good, but do you as a black man, feel that the Reverand cares about black people?? Because from where I stand, Mr. Jackson only gets involved with cases that will put his mug on the television. I honestly don't feel he cares "as a whole" about his people, I beleive he "uses" them for his own advancement. This is just my opinion, but it's been noted that there have been several events that should have warranted Mr. Jackson's involvement, cases where there was an honest civil rights violation. For one reason or another, Mr. Jackson did not get involved. Instead, we usually see Mr. Jackson involving himself in sensationalized cases where he can get on TV and make long winded speeches.

I am starting to like your replies a lot BigPhy. Yes, I agree, Jackson gets involved with certain things for obvious publicity reasons. I never said he is a complete guy. As I mentioned before, he really goes over board sometimes, but he has done some good things. He is not a complete person by far...

Contraction,

The actions that JJ took to bring those soldiers home were heroic. he deserves credit for that and I give him some.

Man, Naty, you can get fierce when it comes to blacks. I understand you dont care for us much, but you never give up. Almost like you got a rage going on or something. Seriously I wonder what's the deal with your views. You can say what you want, that's fine, but I see a lot of posts where you are totally against and never for.

Good response. I dont know why I waste my time. Like furious said before, I found a brotherhood here. I've been on EF a long time. It just disappoints me to see Americans, my country, have these views and I can go elsewhere in the world and not have to deal with the same issues. It kills me...why only in my OWN country??? Amazing...

I actually let a lot of posts go with no replies. The Williams sisters thread made me so fuckin mad, but I said nothing. It got totally out of hand...became a bashing/hate thread. I mean, if you have followed the tennis world any (which my wife and I do) then you will know that it's THEIR FATHER that is the asshole and not them.

Anway, you have some great points, thanks...

Not fierce when it comes to blacks-Thats a blanket statement. I actually went to a black party last night with my G/f and it was fun as hell.

More like fierce when I hear about Jesse Jackson involved in another lawsuit over race when race had nothing to do with anything. Civil rights lawsuits enrage me like no other because they apparently only apply for one race.

Hate crime legislation is BULLSHIT, all crimes are motivated by hate.

Affirmative action is BULLLSHIT for obvious reasons

My friends company just had to award a black employee thousands of dollars because she said they fired her for racial reasons. BULLSHIT!!!!!, I wish I had a crutch like that to fall on.

I'm with larry elder on my "views".

Yeah, it surprised me that our own government would not go after them or negotiate and they didnt want JJ to go either. JJ had to put up a fight. In the end, he got them back when most people doubted he could (including me). Now, we all know it was part publicity...he looks like a big hero doing it, but at the same time he did give a shit and went to go get them. Who cares what the real reason was...he brought them home alive.

Going to a black party means what? You're right, I dont know you...unfortunately I can only develop a profile of who you are from your numerous posts. The ones I've read havent given me any positive feeling on you and how you feel about blacks. How do you feel about me, individually as a black man? Am I your equal?

You dont see me praising JJ as a complete and great man. You never see me praising NAACP nor Minister F. Why? Because I see some sides I dont like. I'M A REALIST and I know these pro black leaders and groups are not 100% right in their views.

I don't particularly like them, but that's because when they lose they make excuses.....making it sound like whomever they lost to didn't get "their best". I especially disliked Serena when she lost to Capriati in two straight slams. She was talking shit before and after both matches. To me that's totally disrespectful to another athlete. I don't know if their father is partly to blame for that or not, but they definitely exude an attitude problem "sometimes".

Agreed, my wife and I feel they are sore losers sometimes and they do come up with a lot of excuses...and display slight 'tude'. On the other side they sometimes can be fierce warriors and they are very athletic. Everyone has their quirks and yes the Williams sisters do have some. I felt the name calling and derogatory comments were excessive.

Yes you are my equal, you and Rizzo see both sides of pretty much every issue and you make educated responses on the matter. I never said anything bad about you or Rizzo, I say bad things about what I stated in the above post. Unlike people like JJ, I don't live my life based on the color of other peoples skin.

Nice to see a different side of you. I know we have opposing views on a lot of things, but as you can see I'm open-minded. I just hate to see someone close off completely to me or any other race. I want to be seen as an individual and a man. I want people to get to know me that way, then they can choose to like me or not.

Toyota makes diversity deal with Jesse Jackson
LOS ANGELES (AP)

Jesse doesn't always get his way. A while back he tried to get ransom from a hi tech company on the west coast because he said they didn't hire enough black engineers and programmers. The CEO said that actually there was a shortage of qualified engineers in his firm and that he would be glad to hire up to 400 of them,( black, white, green or purple) if Jesse would just bring them in for interviews. Of course, Jesse backed off and went to find easier prey. :fro:

I know how he said it. He is the biggest hypocrit-I have ever seen.

No wonder why hes been taken for over 10 mil. What a slime.

Jessie Jackson has added former Chicago democratic congressman Mel Reynolds to the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll. Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud & lies to the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious; however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.

This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate, then was hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate.

His new job? Youth counselor.

-------------------------------------------
IN the middle of his own sex scandal, Jesse Jackson has offered a job with his Rainbow/PUSH Coalition to a notorious sex criminal with political connections.

He has hired former Rep. Mel Reynolds, a man who has done time for criminal sexual assault and solicitation of child pornography as a Rainbow/PUSH consultant for - are you ready for this? - prison reform! Good grief, what's next for Jesse? Is he going to put O.J. Simpson on the payroll as a community policing consultant?

Reynolds, an Illinois Democrat who did 2 1/2 years in the state pen on the sex charges, recently had an unrelated fraud sentence commuted by President Clinton. He appeared with Jackson in the pulpit of Chicago's Salem Baptist Church Sunday.

"Mel, when you come out of the fire - the fire separates the metal from the alloy - Mel, you'll come out stronger," Jesse said in public remarks.

Jackson spokesman Lou Colasuonno confirmed Jackson made the job offer, and that Reynolds has accepted it. "Somebody's got to give Mel a place to start," said Colasuonno.

True - but does it have to be Jesse Jackson, now under fire for having fathered a baby out of wedlock with a former employee? Is this moral leadership? Given the mess Jesse's in, is it even sane? "My God, [Reynolds] had sex with a young girl. He went to jail for kiddie porn. This is sick," said a shocked Rainbow/PUSH supporter, upon hearing the news.

Maybe Jesse feels sorry for Mel because he knows how easy it is to have an affair with a subordinate. At least Jesse's fling with Karin Stanford was between consenting adults. Married Mel's sex romps took place with a 16-year-old campaign worker who turned government informant and agreed to tape phone conversations between her the sex-mad solon.

In recordings that proved key to convicting Reynolds, the girl tells the congressman she can't meet him because she's baby-sitting. She was, in fact, hunkered down with authorities at the time. After speculating in vulgar terms about the various sex acts he was planning to perform with the girl, Reynolds prompts her to describe in graphic detail sexual encounters with her gay lover. Mel asks if they would be interested in a threesome with him.

At that point, the teen told him about a fictional 15-year-old named "Theresa," who might be interested. Reynolds then urges her to set up an encounter. When the teen tells Reynolds "Theresa" is a Catholic schoolgirl, the hot-and-bothered congressman nearly comes undone. "Did I win the lotto?" he asks. This is the kind of man Jesse Jackson publicly boasts from a church pulpit of hiring as an adviser. Unbelievable. Reynolds' compensation figure has not been determined.

I wonder, though, how major Rainbow/PUSH corporate supporters like Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Ford Motor Co., Verizon, the New York Stock Exchange and others, feel about their money being used to reward a man convicted of trying to obtain pornographic photographs of underage girls.

Jackson's ill-advised generosity to Reynolds will only further alienate black ministers and their congregations, many of whom have been critical of Jackson's adulterous affair, and his handling of the matter.

It will also make it more difficult for Jackson to get a meeting with President Bush, which sources close to him say he needs to recover his stature as a power broker. "He feels at this point, if he can get a meeting with Bush, that will give him cover. He's going to ask for that this week," said one insider.

With the hiring of sleazy Mel Reynolds, and more damaging revelations reportedly on the way, Jesse is radioactive. Bush should keep a safe distance.

There is no reason he should try to help Jesse Jackson save himself.

Absolutely. People like this do nothing other than to further segregate blacks, rather than bring them 'closer to equality.'

PS- True equality is going to only occur when everyone just shuts the fuck up about race. If only it were that simple.
